So, how is it nearly Easter????????? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Easter, but it seriously only seems like we just got over Christmas! I have a few empties and 2 products that are not finished, but I am saying goodbye to anyway. Ciencia8 Arestaline8 - Loved it, sad to see it go. It was hydrating, firming and felt so beautiful on the skin. Repurchase? I can't justify spending so much on a product that needs replacing monthly. Wotnot Face Wipes- I bought these from the Catch of the Day bargain website. I thought they were nice to use. Helped to rid makeup, without being rough on my skin. For those into facial wipes, I'm sure you'd love them. Me, I just want something to clean my face without staining my face washer, I'm not really particular on the brand. Repurchase? I'm not great at precise nail art. There is the option to stamp, as much as I love it, I've had many disasters. Enter nail stencils!  It's fairly simple. Begin with a base colour, wait for it to dry, place the stencil on the nail, paint with another polish, then before it dries, remove the stencil. The stencil removal step needs to be done quickly.   For my base colour I used Avon Nailwear Pro in a deep purple colour, which I seem to have misplaced so can't tell you the shade name! With the wave design stencil slanting across my nail, I applied LA Colors Color Craze "Live". I then topped the complete look with Glam Polish "Dreamscape". I think my nails would have looked better without the flakies over the silver, just the purple. I think it would have given it a crisp look by showing the design lines off better.  What do you think? Are stencils something you would consider using on your nails?

Endevouring to play with my Sally Hansen Matte Top Coat again, I went with an idea that I had found on Pinterest (boy, can I get lost in the world of Pinterest!) I started with a dark base coat, using Avon Nailwear Pro "Night Violet". I then added Max Factor "Fire Within" (LOVE this!) Then I applied Sally Hansen Matte Top coat only onto diagonal sections of my nails. I finished with dots of Seche Vite, using a toothpick. I really like these 2 finishes together. The shimmer of the Max Factor "Fire Within" is interesting when muted with Matte top coat, I prefer it glossy, but like the contrast of the matte and gloss.

I've had my fair share of hits and misses with Avon, generally the skincare I have tried has been under the misses category, I often find that it makes me break out.  To be honest Clinical E-Defence Deep Recovery Cream is not a product I would have bought for myself, I was gifted it during Beautorium, an event held on beauty website, Beauty Heaven. This cream boasts a formula that targets wrinkles and dark spots. Pigmentation and lines I do have and would love to be rid of. The cream is packaged in a lovely blue coloured jar, with chrome lid. Quite classy with 30g of product.  The white cream is of a rich consistency, so a little goes a long way. The product is not fragranced, yet does have a slight chemical scent, not over-powering, though. Would I repurchase? Regrettably, I have to say no. Let me explain, the cream felt beautiful. My skin felt plump with hydration, a known way to reduce lines. Where the problem lies is with my reaction to this cream. No, there ...

I used to wear dark polishes quite a lot, but now I seem to reach for bright colour for my digits. That won't change. However, for some reason I craved dark nails. I decided that if I was going to go dark, I might as well try a polish that I hadn't used before. I chose to use Avon Matte as my base colour, dark and matte..wow! :) I couldn't commit to this colour on it's own, so to add a little colour (still dark) I used Blush-Amour in a deep chocolate colour to stamp on a design I had tried a charcoal grey colour, but it didn't quite show up enough, so went over with the chocolate coloured polish. A change certainly is nice from time to time :)
