May Empties

Image
So, it seems that we are now half way through the year. Didn't we just get past Christmas? Well, that's certainly what it feels like to me! Along with half of the year, I seem to have lost the pic I took showing all of my empties, so I'll just jump straight into telling you what products I finished. Heel Chemistry- Short of using a foot peel, this is the best product I have used on my heels. This cream kept my feet in great condition over Summer. I am so happy to have a back-up! Skin B5 Skin Purifying Mask- This clay mask did a great job at deep cleansing my pores. I would be happy to use it again, but didn't love it enough to feel the need to make sure it's in my collection at all times. I find with masks I like to try new ones often. CosRX Glactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence- This is a nice hydrating essence that left my skin feeling smooth and ready for serum application. Not sure if I noticed any lightening of my skin, but I liked it. I was not...

April 2019 Empties

Image
As we welcome the month of May, I will show you what I finished and decluttered in April. My basket looks quite full, but I'm sure you know by now, there's mostly decluttered products in there. Sukin Facial Moisturiser- This is a simple cream, it's decent, but I no longer find it moisturising enough. I won't be buying again. Moreish Cream Cleanser- My fave cream cleanser that not only cleanses my skin, but leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. I am sad that I have only 2 of these cleansers left. I love them but they are no longer available. Skinn Hydro-Vital Mask- This mask is like a gel to apply. It goes on nicely and feels cooling on the skin. My issue with it, however, is that it is hard to remove. The product is quite thick and it just sticks to the skin and face washer which is hard to clean between swipes on the face. I didn't see any great difference in my skin to warrant bothering with this mask again. Ciencia8 Lip Correct- I ...

March Empties

Image
Can you believe we've said goodbye to the first quarter of the year? Me either! Here's what I finished in the month of March. There looks like a decent amount of products in my empties basket, but most of them are decluttered products which seems to be the norm lately. I have considered posting empties posts every couple of months, but decided that I don't mind the shorter monthly series.  Du'it VE Cream- I used this Vitamin E cream as a hand cream. It's quite rich and moisturising. Repurchase? No, I don't need this cream, it was fine, nothing special. Insta Natural Pro-Radiant Skin Brightening Serum- With a name like that I needed to try it. I am always on the look out for a product to reduce my pigmentation. The serum is light and absorbed quickly into my skin. Repurchase? No, I didn't noticed enough of an improvement to add it to my routine again. There's just so much choice, it's hard to stick with the one serum if it doesn...

February Empties

Image
I really thought I would have finished more products in February, but I have some skincare items that seem never ending, sigh. A couple of faves in my empties post this month.  Sukin Natural Deodorant- This is the first natural deodorant that I have used. I found that it gave me decent protection and I liked the neutral, fresh scent. Repurchase? I am using a different one at the moment, but would consider buying this Sukin one again when I am in need. Mad For Keratin Hair Treatment- My daughter passed this treatment on to me because she doesn't use a hair mask. I only wash my hair once a week, so used this hair mask in place of a conditioner. Repurchase? No, I wouldn't. I didn't dislike it, but for me it was no different to using a regular conditioner. Swisse Hibiscus Anti-Aging Night Cream - This is a jar of rich moisturiser, which is the kind of night cream that I look for. It is budget friendly and does a decent job of hydrating my skin. Rep...

January Empties

Image
Well, it seems like this year is going to pass me by quickly again. Normally the school holidays drag towards the end, but not this year. I can't believe the kids are back at school already, although I can't complain about the quiet. I sound like a broken record, but yet again, not a lot of finished products for the month of January. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sheet Mask- This sheet mask was an ok fit, the eye holes are a little smaller than I am used to, but I was still able to wear it. My skin was nicely hydrated after use, but nothing amazing. Repurchase? Even if I loved this sheet mask, I don't think I would buy it again because I was not a fan of the fragrance, as it has a chemical kind of scent. Simple Facial Toner- As the name suggests, this toner is a no-frills product. It may be basic, but it works well to remove any last impurities left after using cleanser. Repurchase? I have a few back-ups because this product is a staple in my routine. The...

December Empties

Image
As we say good-bye to 2018 and hello to the new year, I need to show you my December empties. Once again I'm not breaking any records with the amount of products I used up. In fact, I don't even have that many decluttered products. I'll show you. Beauty By Nicholas Eye Alchemy - This is an eye serum that is hydrating and absorbs really well. Repurchase? This product did not do anything noticeable for my under eye area. My hunt for my holy grail eye cream continues. Beauty By Nicholas Omega Hydroxy - This serum is an alpha hydroxy powerhouse, potent, yet I did not experience any adverse reactions. It's an easy step that I added to my night time skincare routine. Repurchase? I believe I will see this serum again in my future. I loved it! The serum really helped with the texture on my skin, also I noticed visible improvements in skin congestion. The only reason why I haven't bought one yet is because I will be starting another active which will be...

November Empties

Image
So, it just occurred to me that I was about to write up my last empties post for the year, which is crazy to me. But, you're not here to read about me crowing on about how fast the year has been flying by. Onto the Empties.... If this were a declutter post, I would call it very successful, but alas it is not. I didn't finish much in November.                                        Skin Republic Green Tea Mud Sheet Mask- This is the first clay mask in sheet mask form that I had used thanks to a blog prize I won from the lovely lady behind Kats Colourings . It cleansed the skin whilst also providing a radiance to my face. Repurchase? Yes, I really enjoyed this mask! Skin Republic Pink Clay Mud Sheet Mask- Also in the blog prize was this version.  Repurchase? Possibly, but I did prefer the Green Tea one. Eaoron Instant Whitening Face Mask- A hydrating sheet ma...

October Empties

Image
Another month, another rubbish blog post. Well, me posting about my rubbish, anyway! It's actually a little misleading calling this an Empties post because I have way more items that I am decluttering. Firstly, I'll show you what I finished anyway Papa Recipe Bombee Royal Honey Propolis Sheet Masks- I finished off the box of these masks and as much as I ended up quite liking them, there's so many sheet masks that I want to try. Repurchase? I'm not in any hurry to restock these. Hand Chemistry Triple-Function Hyaluronic-Rich Hydrator- This hand cream is quite light weight, which is great for applying during the day, and does a nice job of hydrating the hands. Repurchase? I would consider buying this hand cream again. If I'm to be honest, though, I'm not that fussy with hand creams and I don't seek out particular brands, just whatever sounds good. Sierra Bees Unflavored Lip Balm- I finally finished off this pack of lip balms. I found ...

September Empties

Image
So, it's October. That sounds so crazy to me. Don't even get me started on how close to Christmas we are, I'm not ready to think about that yet! But, you are here for the empties, and my rubbish I shall show you. Slim pickings for the month of September, I didn't seem to finish much, or declutter a lot for that matter.  It kind of feels like cheating showing one use sheet mask packets, but I did manage to use 4. I am so glad to be done with the MediHeal ones. The Papa Recipe Bombee Royal Honey Propolis Mask sheet masks are nice and moisturising and smell amazing like sweet honey, but I wasn't amazed with the results. I have 5 left so I don't to need to even consider a repurchase just yet. Simple Kind to Skin Toner - I use this toner in the morning after cleansing. It has quickly become a staple product in my skincare collection. Repurchase? Yes, when I get through some of my back-ups. The Jojoba Company Cucumber and Guava Firming Eye B...

August Empties

Image
As I say goodbye to Winter and hello to Spring, I will show you the empties I have from the month of August. Some empties, some decluttered products, I'll show you the products. MediHeal NMF Ampoule Mask- I thought I had used more than 2 of these sheet masks, oh well. Repurchase? No, I wouldn't buy these again because I can't apply anything after, but I will continue using them until they have finished. Pyunkank Yul Essence Toner -This product is a hydrating essence that I found easy to incorporate into my skincare routine. Repurchase? I would definitely buy this product again. It helped keep my skin soft and plump and seemed to last forever, which is always a good thing when you enjoy a product. Skin and Lab Fre C Sun Lotion- This K-beauty sunscreen is SPF 50+, which I like. Repurchase? Although this sunscreen was fine under makeup, I found alone it was a little too greasy for my liking, so I won't be buying again. Moreish Cream Cle...

July Empties

Image
It seems that the middle of Winter didn't just effect my motivation, but also the amount of products that I finished in July, or lack of.  As you can see from this pic, this post will be short and sweet. Proactiv Blackhead Dissolving Gel- I never thought I would try a Proactiv product, let alone finish one. Granted, this was a trial size that I received, but there was enough for many uses. I get congestion on and around my nose area and this gel did a great job of deep cleansing this area. Repurchase? This was a good product, but I don't feel that I need it in my skincare routine. NMF Mediheal Aquaring Ampoule Mask- This sheet mask fits well and does a lovely job of hydrating my skin. Repurchase? Although it hydrates nicely, I can't apply anything on top like a night moisturiser or facial oil to finish my routine. I will use the remaining masks from the pack, but I won't be repurchasing. Hand Chemistry Retin-Oil- I originally bought this oil to...

June 2018 Empties

Image
Well, that's one month of Winter done and dusted, I'm sure I can get through another 2. Yet again I decluttered more products than I finished, but hey, there's a lot to go in the bin, regardless. I'll break down what I finished and show you what I decluttered. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid + B5 - I really enjoyed this serum, it did a wonderful job at hydrating my skin.  Repurchase? There are many serums from The Ordinary that I still want to try. I would consider buying again, but it wouldn't be for a long time and who knows what might grab my fancy in that time. As for the next 3 products in the above photo, I will come right out and say that I will not be buying these products again. I actually used them on my feet to finish them because I didn't want to throw them out. The It's Skin serums just didn't seem to benefit my skin. The Ganique Paris C Bright Eye Revive I was excited about using, but the oil just didn't want to absorb...
