Nivea Cellular Hyaluron Filler Day Cream

Image
I was fortunate to be accepted to trial the Nivea Cellular Hyaluron Filler Day Cream, thanks Beauty Heaven!  The cream is formulated to help the skin produce hyaluronic acid and collagen. The formula also contains an SPF of 15+. The cream comes in a small jar with 50 ml of product. The white moisturiser is quite rich and has a thick consistency. The scent is a floral and reminds me of soap. The moisturiser feels lovely when massaging on the skin. What took me some getting used to however, was the smell of soap, I really don't like heavily fragranced skincare products. I'm glad that I had a few weeks to review, because I now have gotten used to the smell and it no longer makes me want to recoil. My skin has been loving the drenching of moisture that this product provides. I am not left with any residue, just skin that glows. I only need a small amount of cream for my face and neck, so this jar will last me quite some time. Although this cream has SPF, the factor be...

2018 Favourites #1

Image
Before I had a break from blogging, I started monthly favourites. This year I am trying not to buy so much, so I tend to stick to the same products. I do still discover items that I love, so I decided I will share my favourites whenever I have a handful of items to show. I have 6 products to show you that I have been loving. Nivea Medicated Lip Repair- This was an add on product to an order I had made through iHerb. I've gotta get that free shipping, right? I wasn't expecting to love this lip balm. It feels nourishing and the cooling effect is soothing on my dry lips. Lip balms don't generally get me excited, but this one is fantastic. Etude House Sunprise Sunscreen - This is a mineral sunscreen lotion that gives no white cast and is not greasy. Once absorbed, it is dry to the touch and being a lotion it is weightless. It seems that my favourite sunscreens are K-beauty ones. I really wish Australia had options like these and I didn't have to order online. ...

September Empties

Image
I have always enjoyed "Empties" blog posts. I don't know why I had never done one myself, but here I am jumping on the band wagon.  These posts will replace both my "To Repurchase Or Not To Repurchase" and "Mission Accomplished" series. I'll still do more individual in depth reviews on products, but as the previous titles suggest, I was only reviewing after finishing products. Now, I'll review products when I feel I have used them long enough to form an opinion, then with the introduction of monthly "empties" posts, I can just give a summarized run down of the products. I hope you don't mind this change. As you can see, I didn't finish a huge amount of products this month. A regular feature will be Ophelia cotton wool pads exclusive to Aldi. They're the only ones I buy. Not only cheap, but soft and don't fall apart. I use them to apply toner and remove nail polish. Repurchase? Always. I finally finish...

To Repurchase Or Not To Repurchase- Nivea In-Shower Skin Conditioner

Image
Nivea In-Shower Skin Conditioner is a body lotion that has been formulated to moisturise the skin whilst in the shower. This unique body product is actually activated by the use of water and immediately is absorbed by the skin. I wondered just how well a body moisturiser would work when it is, in theory, being washed off in the shower. However, the product intrigued me, it finally got the better of me and I had to buy it for myself. I chose the large 400ml bottle for very dry skin. Once I had washed with shower gel, I then lathered the white lotion all over my body, washing my skin whilst massaging in the product. I did find the bottle a little cumbersome, as it was somewhat difficult squeezing out product, holding onto the bottle and trying to apply. I think a pump dispenser would make for better packaging for ease of use. The scent was an unassuming fresh fragrance, that subtly lingered after towel drying.  One thing I did learn after my first application, was that I...

To Repurchase Or Not To Repurchase- Nivea Pure & Natural Body Lotion

Image
It has only been the last couple of years that I've come to realise the importance of using a body moisturiser. The only time that I'd bother moisturising my body was in summer when my legs began to get really dry. I've discovered that it is just as vital to hydrate your skin in winter as well. Not only to prepare for showing more skin in summer, but the cooler months are more dehydrating to the skin. The body product that I have just finished is Nivea Pure and Natural Body Lotion. This lotion contains none of the undesirable parabens, silicones, colorants or mineral oils. What it lacks in "nasties" it more than makes up with beneficial ingredients, such as the much talked about oil, Argan. Not only has this product been formulated to moisturise skin, but balance it naturally. The Nivea product comes in a generous 400ml bottle, with a convenient pump dispenser. The white lotion has quite a pleasant, light and fresh scent. I was able to smooth this product ...
