Lipstick Declutter Update #6

Image
The format will be a bit different for my declutter posts. Instead of waiting until the end of the post to reveal what I am going to get rid of, I will let you know what I'm doing after each product photo. I think that will be a lot easier. Oh, and another thing, please be aware that there are a lot of photos of me in this post, you have been warned! :) Freedom Makeup Lipstick in Smooth I love this shade. The formula is like a lacquer, which I normally steer clear of, but I actually don't mind this one, it's not sticky. And, well, there is that gorgeous purple colour! Bourjois Rouge Velvet in Don't Pink Of It Love this formula, love this colour, I am definitely keeping this one. Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick I was so excited to try my first ever KvD liquid lipstick. The colour is stunning, but I hated the tacky finish. I am sad to be decluttering this one, but I just won't use it. Revlon HD Gel Lipcolor in Lava This shade will

The Jojoba Company Cucumber and Guava Firming Eye Balm

Image
I love when I first start using a new eye cream, I'm always hoping that this one might be the one. I've been racking my brain to try and remember an eye product that I have repurchased and I really don't think I have! I've tried eye creams that I have enjoyed using, but not enough that I can't live without it. Oh, plus there's that need to try new things- yes, I get serious FOMO. My latest discovery is The Jojoba Company Cucumber and Guava Firming Eye Balm. Taken from the Jojoba Company - "Perfect for delicate skin around the eyes this blend of cucumber, guava, aloe vera, jojoba and pomegranate cools and soothes. Reduces puffiness, fine lines and dark circles. Eyes look brighter. Clinically proven to increase production  of collagen by up to 81% and elastin by 90%. Suitable for all skin types. " The eye cream comes in a pink squeeze tube with 25 ml of product. Rather than the balm texture I was expecting, this product is definitely a cream.

Nail Polish Declutter Update #7

Image
In this nail polish declutter update there are mostly pink shades. I'll show you the polishes that I tried on.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Shade #850 Boom Boom Flushed Essie "Your Hut Or Mine" Penelope Diamond Shine The shades that I will be keeping in my stash are Sinful Colors Boom Boom and Models Prefer Flushed both are gorgeous vibrant pinks, but different enough to warrant keeping them. Although the Models Inc nail polish in Diamond Shine is pale, it will be staying because I really like the pink pearl shade. NYC Lolly Pop is similar to Diamond Shine but I have decided to keep it, becaus

Botani Radiant Rose Mask

Image
Although I enjoy using clay masks, as I've gotten older, I've wanted a mask that was hydrating for my skin. The Botani Radiant Rose mask sounded like the perfect luxe product to moisturise and pamper my face. Taken from Botani- "Botani's Radiant Rose Mask is a relaxing, pampering salon treatment in a jar. Nourishing botanicals combine in this delicately Rose Geranium scented, light-as-air mask that revives lifeless skin, leaving you with soft, moisturised, plump skin. An excellent solution for those with dry, dehydrated, combination and mature skin." The mask comes in a jar with 100 g of product. The white cream has a rich, yet whipped consistency. As expected, it has a rose fragrance, but thankfully not too strong, to my nose it has an effervescent quality to the scent, like a rose champagne. The mask feels lovely when applying to the skin. So creamy and luxurious. Upon first application, I found that I had to apply quite a lot of product to get a

ColourPop Dream St Palette

Image
The ColourPop Dream St eye shadow palette is a collaboration with popular beauty Youtuber Kathleen Lights. This is the first pressed eye shadow palette I have tried from ColourPop and I was excited to play with it. I appreciate that you can achieve a neutral look, but you can also create a more colourful one, too. I'll show you the swatches. The mattes in this palette are smooth and blendable. The shimmers are beautiful, but do need a primer and some look best when applied with a finger as they apply more pigmented and foiled.  I am happy with this palette, but I can't say it's my favourite. Apart from using the matte green in my crease, my looks were all very similar and I must say that after a few days of use, I felt uninspired. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice palette, but unfortunately I could see this palette getting lost in my eye shadow collection. Thanks for reading xx

Lipstick Declutter Update #5

Models Own Sculpt and Glow Contour Palette

Image
I must admit that the Models Own brand was not really on my radar, let alone a contour palette. I don't contour. But, after watching a youtuber, Kat from KitschSnitch , use the product in a "Get ready with me" video, it worked so well for a budget priced product that I had to buy it for myself. Taken from Priceline - "Get your game face on with this all-in-one contour palette that suits all skin tones. With blusher, highlighter and bronzer that can be blended for sculpting perfection, this is all you need to face the world." The palette comes in a white plastic rectangle compact with the Models Own logo in a cool holographic finish. My only gripe with the packaging is that it can be a pain to open, not great when you're wearing nail polish. The compact contains a trio, starting from left to right with contour , highlighter and blush. It's actually in the order of use for me, which I like. There is a nice sized mirror. Another thing to

Products That I Repurchase

Image
As a beauty lover I feel the need to try new things. However, there are products that are must haves and I need them in my collection. Some I have multiple back-ups of because I just can't be without them in my stash. I'll break down my repurchased products for you. Swisse Deep Sea Hydrating Mist Toner- I had received a travel size of this mist toner in a goodie bag and loved how hydrating it was for my skin, so although it's a fairly new discovery for me, I now have bought 2 and already can't imagine being without it! Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner - This was my first experience with a K-beauty Essence. I do want to try more, but I loved using this one so much that I bought another and it's one that I'm sure I'll keep coming back to. Simple Soothing Facial Toner- This toner is a no frills toner that preps my skin in the morning by removing any impurities before I start applying lotions and potions. It is a budget friendly option for me that
