Simply Nails #5

Image
I really do like to create a lot of purple nail looks and today I have yet another one to show you. What can I say? I love purple! I started with Australis Nail Colour in #bethatgirl for my base colour. I then used a fine brush to paint small stripes of the frosted blue polish You Blew Me Away from FOA. That's it, so easy! Easter Nails

Image
For this year's Easter nail mani, I went for some fun pastels and a cute design to stamp over them. Not necessarily easily recognizable as being Easter themed, but lately my creative side has been lacking, so a simple look was what I was after. The base colours I used were Ulta3 "Honolulu", Maybelline Color Show "Green With Envy", Face of Australia "Funky Town" and Essie "Lion Around".  Instead of painting the whole nail, I stroked 3 columns of colour, of different height, creating a scalloped design. I finally decided on white, thawing into blue, then flourishing into green. It seemed like the perfect way for me to interpret Winter turning into Spring. Apart from some mineral makeup pigments (no longer available, unfortunately) I also used an olive green from the 88 Warm palette for my brows. The white base for my liner was achieved using Face of Australia "White Gold" pencil liner. I also used L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara, which I forgot to photograph, oops.  I did plan more than just an eye look, but ...

Simple NOTD Sunday

Image
I just couldn't resist Face Of Australia's Glitterati range. I so love the name, how can you pass up on something called Glitterati! lol This milky pink, with cute glitter is called "Heart of Glass". It's such a fun, girly colour. It did take 3 coats to reach this opaqueness. I hope that you are having a great Sunday :)
