YBF Automatic Eye Brow Pencil

Haven't brows become so important for a finished makeup look? I'll admit that in the past, I never used brow products, I just didn't think it was necessary. Sure I tweezed them, but didn't groom them or fill them in.

Time has certainly changed my makeup routine. I now like to fill in my sparse brows, or I just don't look finished. For a while I had been content using eye shadow, which works great, but when I had bought the YBF Beauty Case, there was a brow pencil included.

Taken from the TVSN website- "Automatic dual ended pencil with brush offers personalized colour for natural looking, perfectly groomed brows. The universal taupe shade changes depending on the  pressure you apply. The pencil never needs sharpening and allows for those short, feathery strokes that makeup artists insist on to keep brows looking natural and well groomed. "

The pencil is, well, a pencil :)

One end is for filling in the brows.

And the other contains a spoolie for grooming.

Here's 4 of the many shades that change depending on the amount of pressure used.

Before I even used the brow pencil, I was won over by the fact that I don't ever need to sharpen, just a simple twist allows more of the pencil to be revealed. Also, no need to decide what shade to buy, this pencil works for everyone!

During use, it is best to start with a light hand, then continue with the feathered strokes until you reach your desired shade. Mind you, since I've been using this pencil for a while now, I pretty much know how much pressure I need to use to get my desired colour.

The pencil itself is creamy, yet not too soft. This makes for ease of use, making sure that you are in control of the product. Having the spoolie in the other end of the pencil is so handy, especially for travel.

Now, I'm no expert on brow product, I haven't used many, but the YBF Automatic Brow Pencil is fantastic. It says a lot when even a novice like I can use it! :)

What brow product are you loving?

  1. Lol, great post 'the pencil is, well, a pencil' lolol. Ive always wondered whether this throws too much warmth, in spite of my ranga-ness, my brows are dark brown, do you think the pencil could be used for dark brown brows, or would it throw too much warmth? Thank you! Xo

    1. I just love to state the obvious, hahaha. Although I'm warm toned, my brows are on the cooler side of brown, and I find this pencil to work perfectly xx

  3. I too never paid any attention to my brows besides shaping and the very occasional tint until earlier this year. Now, I feel like I can't go out in public without filling them in! I am using an eyeshadow at the moment but have used a Maybelline brow pencil that I wasn't really a fan of. I like the idea of getting more pigment by pressing harder and the no-sharpen factor is a huge plus!

    1. I'm the same! Even on no makeup days, if I'm going anywhere I at least need to do my brows, and a coat of mascara. I really hate having to sharpen makeup pencils, so being retractable certainly adds to the appeal xx
