Hot weather, celebrations, I'm getting a little tired. So I was in need of some bright, fun and cheerful colour, with a little bling.  LA Colors "Orange Crush" is such a great colour to contrast with the fuchsia, white and silver threads running through LA Girls Feather Frenzy "Flamingo".  I just love this fun look! What do you do to brighten your day? :)

Described as "A floral fruity fragrance for women. Features citruses, floral notes, tea, milk, sugar, cinnamon, cardamon, ginger, cloves, pepper, musk and vanilla." When I first applied this perfume, I was reminded of pine trees, which is strange because nothing in the description has anything to suggest this scent. Could it be the bitterness of tea? I'm not sure. Upon drydown, the creamy, slightly spicy notes are more noticeable. By this stage it takes on a powdery quality. I'm really on the fence with this fragrance. At first sniff, I wasn't a fan, but am liking it more and more. I'll continue using the vial for sure.

Now that I have tried a "dotticure"  and found applying dots to be achievable for me, I wanted to take it one step further and try my hand at a little art using a dotting tool. I wanted black for a base colour, so chose to use my trusty Orly "Liquid Vinyl". Then using a dotting tool, I created semi flower patterns using Femme Fatale "Amberjewel" and "Shadowsong", which truly come alive over a black nail polish. I actually really like how this mani turned out. Easy, yet effective.

I am often taken in by a pretty nail polish shade, no matter how many of similar colour that I already have. Time to show you my nail polish collection.  I have my nail polishes on display, looking well organized. ..and then I have these nail polishes that don't fit! They are tucked away in a set of plastic drawers in my wardrobe, rarely getting to see the light of day. As part of my birthday present I did order 3 nail polishes, plus I have 3 Catrice polishes on their way, which I'd ordered some time ago. I am now determined (kind of) to cut back my nail polish purchases! What's your beauty obsession?

BB Creams, I just can't get enough of these products. I no longer think that they are a hyped fad, they are here to stay, and I for one am very glad! Natio Pure Mineral Skin Perfecting BB Cream has been on my wish list since the start of last year. Really for no other reason than that I have tried Natio products in the past, and I have been happy with them.  The cream promises to hydrate skin, whilst correcting skin tone and concealing imperfections.  There is 50g of product in the tube. The packaging is simple, but easily recognizable.  Flip top lid to dispense product. The consistency is a little thicker than that of a moisturizer. There are 3 shades to choose from, light, medium and tan. Medium was appeared a touch too light, so I opted for tan, taking into account that my skin is bound to get more colour with it being summer. It smooths easily over my skin, blending well with my skintone.  I found the coverage to be similar to a tinte...

Hmmm, "Saltwater" probably doesn't sound too appealing. I guess the only reason that I wanted to try this perfume was that it intrigued me. Description- "Marine notes, cedar and myrtle,that softens and mellows on the skin and becomes ethereal, almost haunting. Definitely unisex, definitely unusual and worth a try." This perfume is more about being an experience, rather than just a fragrance. It certainly smells salty, aquatic and rich with the woody notes. If you have wonderful memories of being at the beach, apply this oil, shut your eyes and you can almost hear those ocean waves.
