Shop My Stash Palette Edition- Urban Decay Glinda Palette

Image
Can you believe I've had the Urban Decay Oz eye shadow palettes for years and have only managed to swatch the shades? Admittedly I bought the palettes for the packaging, but I really had planned to use the eye shadows as well. Today I will be showing you the Glinda palette. Apart from the deep plum shade, these shadows are quite light colours. As Glinda is the "good" witch, it makes sense that the shades would be on the pastel side. I'll show you some swatches. The shades perform well swatching with my finger. I like the golds, but I must say that the palette as a whole did not excite me. In fact, I only managed to create 2 eye shadow looks and was looking forward to trying a different palette. If it weren't for the packaging, I would almost certainly part with this palette. I'll show you the eye looks.

Nivea Cellular Hyaluron Filler Day Cream

Image
I was fortunate to be accepted to trial the Nivea Cellular Hyaluron Filler Day Cream, thanks Beauty Heaven!  The cream is formulated to help the skin produce hyaluronic acid and collagen. The formula also contains an SPF of 15+. The cream comes in a small jar with 50 ml of product. The white moisturiser is quite rich and has a thick consistency. The scent is a floral and reminds me of soap. The moisturiser feels lovely when massaging on the skin. What took me some getting used to however, was the smell of soap, I really don't like heavily fragranced skincare products. I'm glad that I had a few weeks to review, because I now have gotten used to the smell and it no longer makes me want to recoil. My skin has been loving the drenching of moisture that this product provides. I am not left with any residue, just skin that glows. I only need a small amount of cream for my face and neck, so this jar will last me quite some time. Although this cream has SPF, the factor be...

Let's Chat

Image
Being R U OK? day I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to chat to you about my personal experience with mental health issues. I suffer from chronic anxiety and struggle with panic attacks that when severe lead to agoraphobia. I am able to leave the house, but don't want to be too far from home and not for long. This is where I am at currently, even at home my "safe place", I have been getting at least one panic attack a day lately. At least... The panic attacks started to become a regular occurrence in my life when I was around 30, over 10 years ago. What triggered them? The only thing I can recall from that point in my life was that I had a week of migraines (I get headaches, but never migraines). Was it hormones that tipped me over the edge? I really don't know. My genetics aren't in my favour with mental illness on both sides of my family. Without going into too much detail, my upbringing was abusive (physically). From what I understand these combina...

Lipstick Declutter Update #9

Image
Sorry I have been a bit slack with the declutter updates. Actually, I have been quite sporadic with my posting full stop. I've been going through some mental health issues. Without going too much into my mess that is life sometimes, I have anxiety and sometimes the panic attacks are frequent and I become agoraphobic and really only leave the house when I have to. I've been like this now for months, when generally a phase like this lasts 2-3 weeks. I'm home a lot, so I should be posting more, right? Time wise, yes, but I become very unmotivated and quite frankly I struggle trying to get my brain to work and string sentences together. I'm considering posting about my mental health, I know this is a beauty blog, but knowing how lonely it can feel having a mental illness, I am willing to open myself up to bring awareness and if it makes someone feel less alone, that is a bonus. Oh dear, that turned into a ramble. You're here for a lipstick declutter update, and her...

PM Skincare Routine

Image
Last week I showed you my updated morning skincare routine , of course I wasn't going to stop at that. Today I will be showing you the products I am currently using at night, in order of use. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm - I use this product if I am wearing makeup. It does such a fantastic job! Moreish Cream Cleanser - If I'm not wearing makeup, I begin with this cleanser, but if I have, this is the 2nd cleanse. The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution - I've found this product to be a fantastic chemical exfoliator that is gentle enough to use every night. Beauty By Nicholas Omega Hydroxy Serum - This serum would have to be my favourite of the products I have used so far from Beauty By Nicholas. It is a light weight serum that has really helped to smooth my skin texture. The Jojoba Company Cucumber and Guava Firming Eye Balm - I am not in love with this eye cream, but it's hydrating enough for me to continue using the rest. S...

August Empties

Image
As I say goodbye to Winter and hello to Spring, I will show you the empties I have from the month of August. Some empties, some decluttered products, I'll show you the products. MediHeal NMF Ampoule Mask- I thought I had used more than 2 of these sheet masks, oh well. Repurchase? No, I wouldn't buy these again because I can't apply anything after, but I will continue using them until they have finished. Pyunkank Yul Essence Toner -This product is a hydrating essence that I found easy to incorporate into my skincare routine. Repurchase? I would definitely buy this product again. It helped keep my skin soft and plump and seemed to last forever, which is always a good thing when you enjoy a product. Skin and Lab Fre C Sun Lotion- This K-beauty sunscreen is SPF 50+, which I like. Repurchase? Although this sunscreen was fine under makeup, I found alone it was a little too greasy for my liking, so I won't be buying again. Moreish Cream Cle...
