Madd Style Cosmetix review.

Image
I had purchased from MSC some time ago, from memory I only bought some eye shadow samples. Recently, I come across this online seller on Facebook. I thought I'd revisit and place an order. I had forgotten just how well blended and pigmented these eye shadows were. In my parcel, along with the ordered products was a small card with product ingredients, cute logo stickers of crossbones behind a sparkling pink diamond. There were also free sample baggies, which I know we all love! SPRINKLE MIST : Candy pink shimmer. WEIRD SCIENCE : Metallic green. HIDDEN TRACK : Neutral gold. PEEP SHOW: Coral pink with gold shimmer. (currently not listed) ACID BATH : Lime green with bright blue shimmer. FINAL FANTASY : Golden green shimmer. COCOA PUFF: Dark brown. (currently not listed) LOTUS BLOOM : Pastel green shimmer. SECRET SINNER : Latte with red shimmer. EOTDs: On the lid I have applied HIDDEN TRACK, crease and lower lashline is P...

To Repurchase, or not to Repurchase- Gaia Foaming Cleanser.

Image
I received a 50ml trial size Gaia Foaming Cleanser as a gift with purchase. Although it was a smaller size, there was more than enough product to trial adequately. In fact, it lasted me a few weeks using it every morning. The foaming cleanser in trial form comes in a small bottle, with flip top cap, making for easy delivery of product. The full 125ml size is a pump pack, which is very convenient. The cleanser is of a gel consistency. It smells divine, combining the citrus scent of grapefruit, and the light floral fragrance of jasmine. It is natural, so not a synthetic smelling product. Massaging the cleanser on the skin quickly produces a foam that cleanses without making skin feel taut and stripped. I use a clarsasonic mechanical cleansing brush every morning, and found Gaia Foaming Cleanser was a perfect product to use with the brush, as it is by no means too harsh. Organic green tea, organic gotu kola, and organic chamomile extracts are added to help fight free r...

Last TMTM Review :(

I am saddened by the news that owner of The Morbid The Merrier , Lysa, is closing shop..maybe never to open again. It's a shame that  such a talent in the perfumery business will not be making available the exceptional and unique perfumes that I have come to love. But, she needs to do what is right for her, even if that means not making or selling perfume. This is a review I have been planning to do after many other reviews of purchases that have come before, but seeing as there may not be a chance to buy by them, I thought I'd better blog on this fantastic company, even if it means a rushed effort. Some time ago I received an order that contained a couple of broken sample vials and a missed item. Upon contact, Lysa was quick and all too happy to send me replacements, and promised a surprise. You can imagine how happy I was when this "surprise" turned out to be a Full sized perfume from the Valentine's collection! Not long after came a too-good-to-miss sale, ...

Hi Fi Cosmetics

Image
Hi Fi Cosmetics is one of my fave indie mineral makeup brands. I have made many orders, purchasing lip gloss, lip balms and blush as well as eye shadow. I am often wowed by the pigment, ease of use, sparkle and gorgeous duo chrome colours.  The creator's name is Veronica, and here's what she has to say about her company (taken from her site)"... I specialize in unique, handmade, and highly pigmented mineral cosmetics with lots of sparkle and huge color payoff. I blend all of the colors myself, taking special care to only offer a product that I would use myself. I use these products on my clients, as well as on my own face!! I am a certified makeup artist, and I am glad to help in any way that I can!" The customer service is great, Veronica is quick to answer any questions. Unfortunately, the online store is currently closed, but be sure to check it out in August, if you have not purchased before. The eye shadows come in small squared tubs, an...
