L'Oreal Colour Riche Quad in Disco Smokin

On one of my many trips to Priceline, something caught my eye. At the L'Oreal stand was a display showcasing the Colour Riche Eye Shadow quads. The picture of a stunning model wearing the intense, vibrant hues of the quad Disco Smokin was just too much, I just had to have it!


As soon as I got the quad, I just had to swatch the colours. The shadows were velvety to the touch, without being too crumbly. I thought the swatches were nice, but these colours really excelled when applied on the eyes. What better way to test this quad, but to use all 4 shadows.



I love just how vibrant these colours are when applied. They are also easy to blend. The charcoal shadow was the biggest surprise. Darker colours can often be chalky, but not so with this one, it was so easy to apply, whilst giving plenty of depth.
The only colour that seemed to fade by the end of the day, was the purple, mind you, the fading was ever so slightly. The pink, yellow and charcoal remained the same. This was especially a pleasant surprise, as when I wore these shadows it was hot and humid. 
I am so glad that I purchased this quad. They aren't just pretty looking shadows. They are lovely to use and preform well too! :)

BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case.
