Palette Appreciation- BH Cosmetics "Eyes On The 80s"

As mentioned in a previous post, I won a prize from the lovely Kat which featured an eye shadow palette with many beautiful bright colours.

Eyes on the 80s is available from very affordable online store, BH Cosmetics. Their regular prices are very reasonable, but there is always a sale that can be taken advantage of. I have found that the products that I have purchased have been of rather decent quality. I am always tempted by their new releases.

Anyway, how about some swatches??

I like that there's some neutrals included in this palette. These swatches were done on bare skin, with my fingers. A couple of the shadows needed a couple of swipes, but most of them are quite pigmented.

It was so hard to decide on my first colour combo. I had so many ideas running through my head. and couldn't wait to start creating!

My first look I opted for a simple one. I was going shopping, so didn't want to go crazy just yet, lol.

An outing to the movies, I went for this smoky brown look.

 I love pinks!

Oh, and purple, too!

Getting more adventurous, lol.

Last pic, I promise!

I really enjoyed using this palette. You can see that it's possible to go from a simple look, to a bright, colourful look.

There are so so many colour combinations possible with BH Cosmetics "Eye on the 80s" palette. I did find that the bright matte shades apply better with my finger than a brush, not a problem when getting such wonderful colour pay off.

Thanks so much for reading this post despite the many, many photos of my eyes! :)

  1. Aww hon what a treat! This palette was sealed so I didn't get a look at what was inside, but I LOVE it, and I love that you did the swatches - will have to order one for moi stat. Crikey it's so wonderful to see all the results of your playing - these looks are absolute STUNNERS, and it's not just the eyeshadows, it's what you DID with them! That last creation has blown me away - it's really quite exquisite darling, magnificently blended and you've inspired me to do some more eye shaping with my colours. Adore the orange/red one - it's a brave gal that uses these shades, but you pulled it off brilliantly. The blue/green/purple is straight out of a fashion mag - woo hoo, this is a joy to behold, and the eyeliner? Fab! I'm working my way up the page lol. The multicoloured pastel is just so pretty, and you and purple were made for each other. Love the pinks, and both neutrals, but that second smokey brown one - well who'd have thought they'd make your eyes pop so much? Gorgeous and ever so dreamy. Hon I've been MIA for weeks because my internet connection has been MIA for weeks (ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!), but it's back tonight, and I'm so excited to be able to drop by and see your amazing artistry. Well done my darling - and I'm thanking my Rafflecopter for being so clever as to choose you as the winner ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
