Favourites 2019 #1

Image
My first favourites post of 2019 and it's only January. Go me! I don't post monthly on favourites because I just don't try enough new products, but I realised I was reaching for products regularly that I loved and have not spoken about. None of these beauty faves are new, but they are new to me. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze- I have been reaching for this eye cream a lot lately, which I am glad about because I have had this for years now. The Color Tattoos I generally use as a base for eye shadow, but this Summer the days have been too hot for me to want to bother with wearing much makeup. This Color Tattoo, eye liner and mascara and I'm good to go! Heel Chemistry- I bought this during Deciem's Black Friday sale. It was so discounted that I thought I'd give it a try. Well, this heel cream is amazing. I have dry, cracked heels. Ugh, so gross. But, the only time they have been as smooth as this in Summer is when I've used a foot fi...

Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Palette

Image
First of all, I never thought I would be reviewing a ABH eye shadow palette. I have been lusting after one of her palettes ever since the much loved Modern Renaissance palette. Well, I was lucky enough to win this coveted item thanks to an Instagram giveaway care of the lovely @beauty_by_nyssa . Without further ado, I will show you this beauty. I love the look of the purple velvet finished packaging. I know I won't be loving it once it starts getting dirty, so will continue to admire it while I can, lol. I was drawn to this palette because of the pops of purple. I'll show you the swatches. Ok, I'll begin by saying that I am sorry about these horrible swatches, but they give you an idea of the shades. The shadows are quite soft, especially the second last one on the first row, I actually left a dent in the shadow just by pressing my finger in the pan. The mattes do have kick-up but blend beautifully. Norvina certainly boasts so...

Lipstick Declutter Update #13

Image
I figured it was time for a lipstick declutter update and it just happens to be my first for 2019. Lime Crime Lipstick in Fishnet I was very close to keeping this lipstick, because this is the first time that I have worn it. I just know that I won't reach for it. Buying it on clearance makes me feel a bit better about decluttering this lipstick. ColourPop Matte Lippie Stix in Toucan I remember the first time I tried this lipstick on I thought it was an amazing colour. I still like it, but it's not a shade that I'm realistically going to wear. I am decluttering. AOA  Wonder Matte in Tease I like the shade, but am not a fan of the sticky formula, so saying goodbye. ColourPop Ultra Satin in Brooklyn This shade is so pretty, but the formula has thickened, so I think it's bin time for this one! Ausrralis VelourLips I can't remember the shade of this liquid lipstick, the name was on the plastic shrink wrapping. It's a stun...

Nail Polish Declutter Update #14

Image
My first nail polish declutter update of the year!  Purple Effect I love the purple, I love the holo, so keeping it is an easy choice. Chunky Holo Black I did consider decluttering this nail polish topper, but I really like the different sized holo chunks, so it's staying. Sparkle Ruby I really like the shade of this holo, so I will be keeping it. Between The Flags I love this shade, what the photo doesn't show is the golden shimmer running through the reddish pink. It's textured, but I really like it! Keeping. Although this polish doesn't make a good base colour because it dried with a tacky finish, it is a great stamping nail polish, so it's staying in my stash. Speckle Although this splatter polish doesn't look so great on its own, it looks pretty good over a base colour, so I will be keeping it. Copper This firey orange is stunning, it is not going anywhere! As Gold As It Gets Sorry abo...

December Empties

Image
As we say good-bye to 2018 and hello to the new year, I need to show you my December empties. Once again I'm not breaking any records with the amount of products I used up. In fact, I don't even have that many decluttered products. I'll show you. Beauty By Nicholas Eye Alchemy - This is an eye serum that is hydrating and absorbs really well. Repurchase? This product did not do anything noticeable for my under eye area. My hunt for my holy grail eye cream continues. Beauty By Nicholas Omega Hydroxy - This serum is an alpha hydroxy powerhouse, potent, yet I did not experience any adverse reactions. It's an easy step that I added to my night time skincare routine. Repurchase? I believe I will see this serum again in my future. I loved it! The serum really helped with the texture on my skin, also I noticed visible improvements in skin congestion. The only reason why I haven't bought one yet is because I will be starting another active which will be...
