Makeup Mess 2019 #2

I really wanted to try one of my Dawn Eyes Cosmetics Premium loose eye shadows. They are multi-chrome, beautiful and needed to be applied to my lids. So, I took the opportunity to also create a Makeup Mess post.

If you read my first Makeup Mess, you'll notice some of the same products, but I did change some things up. I'll begin with eye products.

Elf Mad About Matte Eye Shadow Palette- I used 2 of these shadows in my crease, they make fantastic transition shades.

Suva Beauty Block Party Eye Shadow Palette- I blended the navy blue shade into my outer "v". It is very pigmented, yet surprisingly blends easily, without being patchy.

Dawn Eyes Cosmetics Premium Eye Shadow in - I applied the star of the show on my lid over a sticky base. It is stunning, shifting from bronze to green to purple.  It's so hard to capture on camera, so take my word for it, this shadow is amazing!

Nads Universal Brow Pencil- I have been using this eyebrow pencil every day lately that I have been wearing makeup. Great shade, and I love that it has a fine tip to the pencil.

Essence Lash Princess Mascara- This mascara formula is starting to thicken a little, but I'm still loving the volume and length that I get with it.

Now for the base products

Touch in Sol No Poreblem Primer- I only use this primer occasionally, because I forget to. Might be because I don't really notice it doing much for my skin. I have since decluttered it because I just don't want to keep products if I don't enjoy using them.

NYX Dark Circle Concealer in Light- My go-to dark circle corrector, well, actually it's the only one I have, but it does work well.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation- This is a nice medium foundation. I just think with my aging skin, I'm preferring a lighter coverage foundation because I'm finding base products are settling in my fine lines, or more like my fine lines are just not so fine any more, lol.

Garnier BB Cream for Oily/Combination Skin- The foundation is too light for my skintone, so I mixed my fave BB cream in Medium to darken it.

MAC Strobe Cream in Pink Lite- This has become a staple in my foundation routine, I love to mix a little into whatever base I am using. I love the glow it gives my skin.

Maybelline Master Conceal- I like to use this concealer to lighten my dark under eye area.

Australis Ready Set Go Finishing Powder- I use this loose translucent powder to set the concealer.

All Natural Face Finishing Powder in Apricot- I love this peach toned loose powder, it flatters my skintone and I love the airbrushed finish.

And finally face products and lipstick

Benefit Hoola Bronzer- I love this bronzer. It's a great colour for me and blends nicely on the skin.

Dose of Color Highlighter in Bathe- The highlighter is one of the items from the ILuvSarahii collab. When I first saw it in person, I was concerned that the shade would be too dark for my skintone, but with a light hand it gives a wet look glow which I love

Tarte- This blush is not as bright on the cheeks as in the pan, thank goodness. I love that it's buildable, so doesn't deposit too much colour as I prefer a hint of colour on my cheeks, I don't like an intense blush.

Dose of Colors Liquid Lipstick in Mauve Story- I really like the formula of the Dose of Colors liquid lipsticks. This one is from the second DesiXKaty collab, and it's a light nude shade with a touch of mauve.
