The Inspired Blog Award

Image
Inspired Blog Award? Me???????  I was so blessed to be nominated for this award from the lovely Kat from Kat's Colourings , if any one is inspirational, it is totally her. Do yourself a favour and check out her blog! She has the most amazing EOTDs with colour combinations that most of us would not dare to try, yet she always makes them look amazing! This award is such a great way to encourage fellow bloggers, the idea created by Agniezka from Beauty Cat Castle . The rules couldn't be any more simple, you just nominate at least 3 other bloggers who inspire you and why. Now that it's my turn to share the love, I would like to nominate the following beauties: Sarah from More Than Adored is as cute as a button and I just love her reviews. Nothing is off limits for her, whether it be drugstore brands to gorgeous high end products( which I can only drool over, lol). She is both informative and honest. Yep, this girl inspires me! The gorgeous Ina from Ina Beauty World...

EOTD Featuring Evil Shades Panic

Image
I like a pinky coral, in fact it's one of my favourite colours. A perfect eye shadow to represent this colour is Panic from indie seller, Evil Shades. In conjunction with Panic eye shadow, I used  a neutral colour as a base and dark brown in the crease. Physicians Formula liner...meh, it's ok Majolica Majorca lash duo, if you've read past EOTD posts, you'd know how much I love this duo! So, not many products at all, actually, lol. I love the warmth of this colour. I also find it quite a flattering shade :)

To Repurchase Or Not To Repurchase- Natio Glow Skin Brightening Face Balm

Image
I can't believe that before using the Natio Glow Skin Brightening Face Balm, I had not used this brand before. I know, right! I don't live under a rock, but with so many brands to choose from, for some reason I just had not gotten around to Natio. I only come to using this product through a program started on beauty website, Beauty Heaven called the Travelling Box, sort of like a Trash n Treasure, where you take out what you want, then replace with what you don't. To be honest, the main reason why I even kept this product was to lighten the box for postage! This balm has been formulated to boost skin vitality and helps even out skin tone. Natural radiance and skin clarity is restored, while ingredients soothe the skin.  This product can be used as a moisturiser, hydrating mask and even a primer. Talk about a multi-purpose product! I like the simple packaging. Flip open the lid, and squeeze the tube to extract what is needed. As the name suggests, this has q...

Glitter Topper Nails

Image
I love sparkly things, but for my eyes I want shimmer not glitter. What do I do with glitter eye shadow? Put it on my nails!  When I placed an order with Mon Ennui, I ordered some colour shifting eye shadow, I didn't realise how large the glitter was in some of the samples, so the 4 jars sat unused in a make up draw. When I say unused, I don't mean not admired, as I'd often pick the jars up and be mesmerized by the gorgeous colours. Desperately wanting to use them, I decided I'd try applying on my nails. For the base colour, I decided to use Essie Da Bush.  Whilst the second coat was still wet, I sprinkled Mon Ennui Siren over the top. To even out the surface, I applied to thick coats of Seche Vite. I included so many pics to try and capture the sparkle and gorgeous colour of the glitter. I have 3 other glitter eye shadows from Mon Ennui that I'll be sure to post when I apply those to my nails :)

Fun Halloween Nails

Image
Happy Halloween, or should I say BOO! Now, I know I'm Australian and Halloween is an American tradition, but I love the fun of Halloween. I don't celebrate the origins, I just get caught up with the "Trick or Treating" with the kids and it's a good excuse to create some fun looks. And this is where I tell you about my Halloween nails. To create the look on my nails, I used Maybelline Porcelain Party, China Glaze Black Mesh Crackle, Femme Fatale's Sinister Calling and Shadowsong, which is brought to life over black, becoming a gorgeous purple colour. I have not used a shatter polish for so long! To be honest, I had become quite over it, however, I really like the way it turned out for this look. To give my nails more of a Halloween feel, I added some stickers. Maybe I should include a game called "What are the stickers?" Lol, they got lost on the mani! On the index finger, the stickers are visible, that red thing is actually a spider, t...

Look of the Day

Image
Although I love to play with various eye shadows, I often concentrate on one colour for the lid and then neutrals to contour. For this look, I decided to use two noticeably different colours on my lid. Face- Dr LeWinn's Primer and Anti ageing Foundation, I love this liquid foundation. Coastal Scents Camo Quad in Medium to conceal and highlight. This beauty has 4 shades. I use the white to highlight under my brows. To conceal dark circles, I use a mixture of the darkest and medium tones. I am finding this quad to be such a multi-tasking product. I was a little intimidated with the 4 colour creams, but now I reach for it daily. L'Oreal Blush in Sandalwood Veil. This dusty pink blush seems to be my go-to-blush of late. It gives my cheeks a touch of pink. Lips- Mirenesse lip liner in Rose. Mavala Lipstick in Nagoya. A creamy formula, the only thing that I don't like is the smell. It's not overly strong, but I'm not a fan. Eyes- Evil Shades Pa...

Glitter Gradient Nails

Image
I had decided that I wanted to create a glitter gradient look for my nails, I had even chosen the glitter polish that I wanted to use. What I did have trouble with was the base colour that I was going to apply. My solution? Different base colours! The hero of this mani being the glitter polish Glinting Lodestone from Aussie indie company Femme Fatale. I hope you like my gradient version, I need to try some different variations. I'm sure a warm orange/red would be interesting, what do you think?
