I have been waiting patiently for some time now to use the Beauty By Nicholas Eye Alchemy. I like to finish existing products before opening new ones, and it felt like the eye cream I was using was just not giving up. Taken from Priceline - "Ditch dark circles, bags and crow's feet with instant eye candy. This highly effective formula is gentle on your delicate eye area, to instantly smooth and brighten without painful procedure." The eye cream comes in the typical packaging of the Beauty By Nicholas range. I really like the classy look of the chrome cylinder, but I also find it inconvenient not knowing how much is left in the container. Dispensing the product can be done through the pump top dispenser. The consistency of the eye product is that of a light weight serum.  Although I normally love a pump top dispenser, I find that this one can get messy as the pump can squirt the product out too quickly, plus for me it's too much product for an applicati...

I'd like to say that I am still going strong with this lipstick declutter. I am determined to continue with it, but I am not wearing makeup as much lately, so it has slowed down some. Anyway here's the lipsticks I tried on in this update. ColourPop Ultra Metallic in Kween As much as this lipstick is such a stunning shade, I've made the difficult decision to declutter it. It's metallic and I just can't see myself realistically reaching for it. I've already bent the rules and kept a couple of others, so this one had got to go. Savvy Lipgloss  I can't seem to find a shade name for this lipgloss, but it will be staying in my collection. It's nice on its own, but it would be nice over a neutral lipstick as well. Another month, another rubbish blog post. Well, me posting about my rubbish, anyway! It's actually a little misleading calling this an Empties post because I have way more items that I am decluttering. Firstly, I'll show you what I finished anyway Papa Recipe Bombee Royal Honey Propolis Sheet Masks- I finished off the box of these masks and as much as I ended up quite liking them, there's so many sheet masks that I want to try. Repurchase? I'm not in any hurry to restock these. Hand Chemistry Triple-Function Hyaluronic-Rich Hydrator- This hand cream is quite light weight, which is great for applying during the day, and does a nice job of hydrating the hands. Repurchase? I would consider buying this hand cream again. If I'm to be honest, though, I'm not that fussy with hand creams and I don't seek out particular brands, just whatever sounds good. The Malibu palette is one of the first purchases I made through BH Cosmetics, yep many years ago. I was really drawn to the cute packaging. It's actually a very small palette that is no bigger than my hand. As you can see, opening the palette reveals shadows and face products. I'll show you some swatches. Most of the eye shadows swatched dismally. I had high hopes for the bright shades to be pigmented, but most were patchy and even swatching with my finger more than once did not produce much colour, sadly. The face powders were marginally better, but the shades didn't excite me because they just didn't suit my skintone. Fortunately I was able to create some looks that I was happy with, but the shadows were hard work and not the easiest to apply. I'll show you what I created. I really didn't like this palette and I was happy to be done with it. I certainly will not be keeping the palette.

Another mostly glitters update to show you. It has been fun wearing them and a peel off base has been much appreciated when it comes to removal.  Fire Sparkle This fiery nail polish is gorgeous. It is opaque and the sparkle finish is amazing, much better in person. I will be keeping this one in my stash! Hottie The formula of this nail polish has become gloopy, so it's difficult to apply. I'm not a huge fan of the pale blue base, so I am not too upset to be getting rid of this colour. I Dream in Jewels If it wasn't for the larger holo glitter pieces, I probably wouldn't be keeping this Sinful Colors polish, but they make this a unique polish for my collection. Lucky I will be keeping this polish, I just love the green and gold glitter and like that no base colour is needed. During one of my many visits to online store iHerb, I decided to include the Now Solutions Dark Spot Serum to my cart. One of my major skin concerns is pigmentation so I am easily tempted by most products that offer to help with this problem. Taken from iHerb - "Dark Spot Serum restores skin's youthful glow with clinically tested Alpaflor Gigawhite, an extract of alpine plants shown to significantly improve the appearance of age spots and even out skin tone over a 12 week time period. Also in the formula is Licorice extract, Vitamin C, and multi-fruit extract aid in evening skin tone." The serum comes in a 30 ml bottle. It is an airless pump, which I appreciate. It has a slight medicinal scent that is not at all over powering. The smell disappears once absorbed into the skin. The amber coloured serum is very lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. I have zero residue and there's barely any wait time between product applications. I only apply ...

Just a quick update on my lipstick declutter. Let me show you how I did. ColourPop Lippiestix in Bichette I didn't dislike this shade, but I don't love it and have similar shades in my collection. I have decluttered it. ColourPop Ultra Satin in Dopey I love this nude pink shade, so yes it is staying in my stash. Makeup Revolution Lipstick in Rebel With Cause I found this a fussy lipstick to apply and smudged throughout wear, which wasn't a pretty look, lol. Decluttering! BH Cosmetics Color Lock Lipstick in Rapture I was torn with whether to keep this lipstick or not, so I figured if I was in 2 minds, it meant that this was not a must have lip product. Bye bye!
