PM Skincare Routine 2017

Image
Last week I showed you my morning skincare routine , so today I will be showing you the products that I use at night. If I'm wearing makeup, I begin with Simple Cleansing Oil . Such a cheap product, but works well to melt the makeup away. I then finish the cleansing process with the Moreish cream cleanser another budget friendly cleanser that is gentle yet effective. Not pictured is the mix of coconut water and small amount of salt water that I apply to my face with a cotton pad. Once dry I then like to give myself a spritz of rose water. Next is the Re RGBF serum which absorbs quite quickly, so I can then apply an eye serum.  My current night moisturiser is Swisse Hibiscus Anti-Aging Cream. Closer to bed time I spritz again with rose water, then while my face is stil wet, the Hand Chemistry Retin A Body Oil. Once the oil is well on its way to being absorbed, I apply Skinn Reorganize Night Eye Balm. Thanks for reading xx

Sukin Oil-Balancing Anti Pollution Facial Masque

Image
The recent Priceline 40% off skincare sale had me buying quite a few items including the Sukin Oil-Balancing Anti Pollution Facial Masque. I had run out of clay masks, so the sale was really good timing. Taken from Sukin- "Our Anti-Pollution Masque contains Bamboo Charcoal as the key active and is infused with Moringa Extract. Charcoal assists in the absorption of toxins and impurities which reveals purified and deeply cleansed skin. Rooibos Tea, Willowherb and Aloe Vera revitalise and refresh blemish prone skin. Our masque has Quince, Bilberry and Pomegranate which assists in tightening pores, reducing shine and leaving a balanced complexion. Skin is left moisturised and nourished by Avocado, Coconut and Rosehip Oils." The masque comes in a 50 ml tub. Under the screw-top lid is another plastic layer to help protect the product. The consistency of the grey coloured treatment is of a clay. It has a refreshing green herbal scent. I find that although the masque i...

Simply Nails 2017 #6

Image
On my favourite online forum, you've probably guessed it's Beauty Heaven, a thread was started for nail art challenges for anyone interested in being involved. Essentially, a couple of colours are chosen to use in a nail look. I thought I would also share with you my effort of this week's "Green and Blue" challenge. You know the rule "Blue and green should never be seen..." well, I'm one that doesn't follow colour rules. Whether it be certain colours for the season to what colours should not be paired. I like to play with any combo, so I was excited to do a green and blue nail. I chose Ulta3 Mojito, Boe Beauty Blue Illusion and a Kleancolor shimmer topper. I painted the green first, then sponged on the blue just to the 2nd half of my nail to create an ombre. For a sparkly final touch I painted 2 coats of the green tinted base with a golden holographic shimmer. Thanks for reading xx

AM Skincare Routine 2017

Image
I initially was going to update you on my AM skincare routine, but I last showed you my morning skincare routine at the end of last year. What???? Obviously a lot has changed since then, so this post will be my current 2017 routine. Lately I haven't been using a cleanser in the morning, I've just been using coconut water with a small amount of salt water (not pictured) and applying to my skin using a cotton pad. In a bottle I have some rosewater, I give myself a couple of spritzes in place of a toner. My serum is currently the Re BFGF, it's ok, but doesn't wow me, so I'm really just finishing it off so I can start on some of my other serums. Eye product is  Ganique Paris Eye Lift Serum  which is a lightweight serum that absorbs very quickly into the skin. The moisturiser I have been using is the Sukin Supergreens . Of course, I finish with a sunscreen and am using Sunsense Sensitive Invisible SPF . My fave! I like to use a treatme...

Opa! By Skinn Cosmetics

Image
Opa! Is a perfume that Dimitri from Skinn Cosmetics created. After hearing about it on the demo aired on TVSN I really wanted it, but just couldn't justify adding another perfume to my already too large collection. Well, I was ecstatic upon receiving a PR package from TVSN which included Opa! Had they read my mind???? Taken fron Skinn Cosmetics - "Opa! A Greek word complicated in its meaning, yet simplistic in its sentiment, evokes feelings of celebration and togetherness. Soft citrus top notes drive the fragrance, subtly balanced with floral notes of peony, lily-of-the-valley, and a hint of woody vanilla. Skinn's signature scent is designed for the confident, sexy woman who exudes warmth and rejoices in her femininity." Opa! comes in a rectangular shaped flacon with bevilled edging. Simple in design, yet classy. Opa! begins with a lovely zesty citrus and sweet, juicy pear, such a gorgeous combo, with the pear softening the citrus, which can somet...

Project Pan 2017 Update #4

Image
So, as the title suggests, I am going to show you the progress of my Project Pan. It's a rolling 5 pan where I'm trying to finish products and then replace them as I go.  Here's where I was at in July. I finished this Models Prefer foundation. It is a nice medium coverage foundation, but having no pump annoys me. I wasted some product because it was hard to control the amount of product I would dump out on a plastic tray for each application. I have been using this Smashbox lip liner in place of a lipstick and now I'm really powering through it. I'm expecting to be almost finished, if not finished by the next update. I am so glad to be done with this LA Girl eye liner, the only thing I liked about it was that the pencil is retractable.  After using this NYX gloss most days for the last 2 months, I didn't think I was getting anywhere. But, after sitting the tube in a glass of hot water for a few minutes, I was relieved that ...

Sukin Super Green Facial Moisturiser

Image
When I was in need of a day moisturiser, I decided to turn to a more budget friendly brand. Because I use serums, I just wanted a product to finish off my skincare routine that would increase hydration. My combination skin is always drier in Winter. It didn't take me long to choose Sukin. A natural skincare brand made in Australia really appealed to me. I chose to give the Super Green Facial Moisturiser a try, it sounded jam-packed with goodies, I just had to buy it! Taken from Sukin - "Our lightweight Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser is enriched with extracts of kale, spirulina, parsley and chlorella to promote a radiant, healthy complexion. Acai and goji berry extracts are rich in antioxidants and nutrients to assist in minimising the appearance of fine lines. Hydrating oils of rosehip, avocado and jojoba lock moisture into the skin." The moisturiser comes in a decent sized 125 ml plastic bottle with pump-top dispenser. The bottle has quite a dark tint to p...

ColourPop Ultra Satin Minis

Image
I have reviewed the ColourPop Ultra Satins in the past, so I won't go into too much detail about the product, you can read the review here . In short, they are a liquid lipstick with a mousse-y formula. They don't set completely, but are long wearing and very comfortable on the lips. ColourPop had a sale that I couldn't resist (story of my life!) plus with a minimum spend I was able to get free liquid lipstick minis. I chose the Ultra Satin formula because it is my favourite. As a hoarder lover of lipsticks, I actually prefer minis, because I rarely finish a full sized lipstick. The shades I ordered are Frick 'n' Frack, London Fog, Strip and Prim.
