Shop My Stash Palette Edition- Revolution Makeup Makeup Geek Palette

With so many eye shadow palettes, it's hard to choose a single eye shadow palette to play with. After a lot of rummaging, I decided to choose a palette with a lot of colours and a lot of choices and I just couldn't go past the Revolution Makeup (so weird to say it that way now that they changed it from Makeup Revolution) Makeup Geek palette.


This palette contains 36 eye shadows, ranging from pinks, blues, purples, oranges, yellows and neutrals. So many options.




As you can see from the swatches, some are nicely pigmented, other shades not so much. Of course I was still going to give these shadows a try. I found that over a sticky eye primer I was able to get even the least pigmented shimmers to perform. The coloured matte shades were a little chalky, so I didn't delve into those too much, but I was able to make the neutral ones work. Here are the looks I created with the Makeup Geek palette.



With these looks I tried to combine more than one shadow on the lid. Obviously I could have created a lot more combinations and it's probably a palette that I would happily play with in future.

BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it.
