Online store, Coastal Scents is a makeup lover's dream website. Everything you need for a full face of makeup is available for purchase, there are even products available to make your own products! My last order included the Camo Quad. I thought it would be a great item to contour with. I still don't contour.. in saying that, for some time I used no other concealing products, but this quad. The compact contains 4 shades, I chose medium, to camouflage all imperfections. The colours can be mixed to make that perfect shade for your skin colour. I can't say that I loved the plastic compact. Not a good item for travel, my lid broke fairly easily. This wasn't a huge problem for me, because I don't usually travel. The concealers are quite creamy in consistency, making them easy to apply and blend on the skin.  The white I used as a highlighter, as it was not opaque once blended. An eye look featuring purple and lime green isn't a colour combination that would normally spring to mind, but when I reached for these mineral loose shadow samples, 2 of many that I'm trying to get through, I thought that they would make for an interesting look on my lids. I primed my lids with the Coastal Scents Camo Quad using the neutral shade you can see has the most visible use. Again using the same quad, I applied the white shade to highlight under my brows. With the help of the MAC palette and 88 Warm palette for contouring, the purple was used all over my lid with the lime green lining my lashline. I wish I could tell you the name of the shades, however they were ordered from an online store that unfortunately have since closed down. With a theme called Bright and Bold, cleverly chosen by Hailey , I had so many ideas whirling around in my head. I really didn't think I'd be able to make my mind up. Finally after some inspiration, thanks to rifling through my mineral makeup, I decided first with an eye look, then the rest of my full face look just came to me easily. Face Garnier BB Cream for combination to oily skin. Inouvi "Candy" and "Pink" blushes. Eyes Coastal Scents Camo Quad, using the white on my lids for a base. Gold, green and purple loose pigments to create my eye look. Mirenesse Superlong Wear Gel in "Black" to line my upper lashline. MUA black Contour Liner on lower waterline. It's not often that a product that you line your eyes with becomes the feature of a makeup look. Enter Evil Shades mineral eye shadow in Broken Dreidel . It's such a pretty bright blue, but I find it can be a little too much all over my lid, especially for a day look. An easy way to still wear this shadow is by lining my eyes with it. This post is in honour of the lovely Kat from Kat's Colourings . After being one of the winners of her fabulous give away, I was given the opportunity to finally add the Resolution Red L'Oreal Infallible 2 Step Lipstick to my lipstick collection. A product that I had been coveting for some time, but had not purchased because of my make up no-buy. For those a little intimidated by red but so want to sport this sexy shade on their lips, this red is for you! It is such a wearable red, it has a slight pinky tone, so not scary to wear at all.  I love how the 2 step system is in the one tube. You simply apply the colour first. I found that the sponge applicator made for a precise application, which is important when wearing a brighter lip. I was surprised that this product did not apply patchy. Once dry it did feel slightly tight, the way a lip stain can feel on the lips, but there is a solution. Yes, simply slick on a little of the balm, and wow the lips feel so moisturised. I...

Although I love to play with various eye shadows, I often concentrate on one colour for the lid and then neutrals to contour. For this look, I decided to use two noticeably different colours on my lid. Face- Dr LeWinn's Primer and Anti ageing Foundation, I love this liquid foundation. Coastal Scents Camo Quad in Medium to conceal and highlight. This beauty has 4 shades. I use the white to highlight under my brows. To conceal dark circles, I use a mixture of the darkest and medium tones. I am finding this quad to be such a multi-tasking product. I was a little intimidated with the 4 colour creams, but now I reach for it daily. L'Oreal Blush in Sandalwood Veil. This dusty pink blush seems to be my go-to-blush of late. It gives my cheeks a touch of pink. Lips- Mirenesse lip liner in Rose. Mavala Lipstick in Nagoya. A creamy formula, the only thing that I don't like is the smell.
