When it comes to my makeup, there are certain products that I use on a daily basis, well when I am wearing makeup. These include products that I prefer to use first before trying another as I don't like to have more than one open at a time. These products are foundations, concealers, powders and mascaras. I also include products that I am trying to finish and of course, my fave brow pencil. Yep, it's HG status and the only one that I use. To make these every day products more accessible, I store them in a handy basket in the bathroom. Whenever I do my makeup, I just simply remove the basket from a cupboard and place on the bench. The only product that doesn't fit is the 88 palette that I am panning. I just have that palette stored upright beside the basket. Too easy! This year I have been panning (or trying to use up) an eye shadow palette. I was using the 88 Warm palette on a daily basis for eye contouring, so decided I would go for gold and see if I could empty the pans. So far, I've finished 36 pans, removing the pan once it's done which is so satisfying! My goal was to totally finish it, but I'm probably going to bin the palette when I've used the shadows that I enjoy using. I'm not really one to wear greys and silvers, plus there's some colours that don't have enough colour pay off for my liking. Hot weather, celebrations, I'm getting a little tired. So I was in need of some bright, fun and cheerful colour, with a little bling.  LA Colors "Orange Crush" is such a great colour to contrast with the fuchsia, white and silver threads running through LA Girls Feather Frenzy "Flamingo".  I just love this fun look! What do you do to brighten your day? :)

I love sparkle (really? you ask, lol) and, referring to nails, the colour red. Do you also? Well check out this LA Girls 3D Effects polish. This is in the shade called Sparkle Ruby. I love Holographic nail polish. You get the gorgeous sparkle, without it being crazy difficult to remove. Isn't she pretty?? :)

I love bright, warm, summery colours, especially so on my nails. Seeing as this summer in my part of the world has been so hot, I thought I would make my fingers "sizzle" with some warm colour. What colours conjure up a hot summers day like yellow, coral and red, with a hint of gold?? Keep reading, and you'll see what I mean :) I began with LA Girls Metal for my base colour. It is quite a sheer gold for my liking, but 2 or 3 coats resulted in the opaque finish that I wanted. Using 3 strokes of polish, Ulta3 Honolulu, Maybelline Color Show Coral Crush and Mirenesse Burlesque Strip, I then used a toothpick (surprise, surprise) to stripe across the colours. This blended the polishes slightly, whilst giving a starburst effect. I love how the gold becomes a feature by peeking through the design. What's your favourite summer time colour?
