Nail Polish Declutter Update #14

Image
I'm back with another nail polish declutter update. I'm not sure what the shade name of this polish is, but I really like the colour, so I will be keeping this one. Alabaster Verve I love this pink and it is so glossy, without even using a top coat. Keeping! Firenze This is a striking firey orange, but I have another polish that is similar, so I will be decluttering this one. Da Bush This little Essie polish would be a great size to try and pan, but I just don't like the colour on me, so saying goodbye. Juno This purple is stunning, I won't be parting with it. Vivi I probably don't need another pink, but I just can't declutter this bright, fun pink shade. I wasn't expecting to love this polish as much as I do. Definitely love at first when I applied the first stroke. Keeping for sure! Peace On Earth This golden olive with be staying in my collection. I'm keeping 6 polishes, oops! M

Nail Polish Declutter Update #17

I'm back again with another nail polish declutter update.  Aztec Orange Love it, keeping it! Diamond Although this polish doesn't look too special in this photo, it is so gorgeous in sunlight and would look so good over a base colour. Keeping! I can't find a shade name for this Color Club polish, but I won't be keeping it. The polish was patchy to apply and I just don't need another blue that I realistically probably won't reach for. Purple Passion is such a gorgeous purple that will be staying in my collection. I can't have too many purples apparently!  I'm not sure what the name of this polish shade is, but I've decided that I don't need it in my stash. Animate This is a pretty red glitter, but it applies patchy, so I am decluttering it. Red Hot Chilli Pepper I didn't think I needed yet another red, but I don't actually have a shade like this metallic red, so it will be stayi

Morning Skincare Routine 2019 #1

Image
New year, new skincare routine. To be fair, apart from a few staples, my skincare routine often changes as I want to try new products. Always searching for those holy grail products! I have 9 steps in my morning skincare routine, but it's fairly easy to maintain. Simple Micellar Facial Gel Wash- Yes, you read that right, I have switched from a creamy cleanser to a gel one, in the morning anyway. Because I am using actives in the PM, I felt that a gel cleanser would work better to rid skin of impurities. Simple Facial Toner- This toner is a staple in my routine, an easy step to make sure my skin in completely clean. CosRx Whitening Essence- Not sure that I am seeing any whitening with this essence, but it does help my serums absorb quicker. Insta Natural Pro-Radiant Skin Brightening Serum- I like to have a vitamin C serum in my routine, this one hasn't amazed me, but it's a nice product. Hydrating and absorbs very well. I am yet to see any chan

Makeup Mess 2019 #1

Image
I decided to create a series where I show what makeup I'm wearing when I'm not reviewing a particular product. Face of the day type posts. This gives me a chance to talk about products that I reach for regularly. I did not realise just how many products I use for a full face of makeup, well, full face for me. So, just to warn you, this is going to be a long post. Anyway the makeup I used is as follows, in order of use  Maybelline Master Precise Concealer in Light- I began my makeup look by applying this concealer to my lids. I also used this under my eyes. It's a concealer that I really like as it provides coverage and is easy to blend. Australis Ready Set Go Loose Setting Powder- I use this translucent powder to set the concealer on my lids as well as the concealer under my eyes when I come to that step after applying foundation. ELF Mad About Matte Eye Shadow Palette- This neutral matte palette is my go-to when it comes to crease work on my eyes. St

Revolution Peanut Butter Cup Palette

Thankfully I've been able to start playing with makeup again. It's Summer here in Australia and the weather has been very hot this year and applying makeup was just not a priority, besides, it would have just melted off my face. First on my new-palettes-to-try list was the Peanut Butter Cup palette from the Revolution I Heart Makeup line. The cute packaging gets me every time! As you can see, it's a very yellow/orange toned palette. Swatching the shades didn't excite me. I mean, they weren't bad, but I wasn't wowed by them, in fact the colours weren't really speaking to me.  Well, my attitude changed when I began applying these shadows. The mattes were easy to use and most of the shimmers needed help with a sticky base, but I use one on my lids anyway, so that isn't an issue for me. Here's the looks I created using this palette I actually really love this palette, so I'm keeping it for more th

January Empties

Image
Well, it seems like this year is going to pass me by quickly again. Normally the school holidays drag towards the end, but not this year. I can't believe the kids are back at school already, although I can't complain about the quiet. I sound like a broken record, but yet again, not a lot of finished products for the month of January. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sheet Mask- This sheet mask was an ok fit, the eye holes are a little smaller than I am used to, but I was still able to wear it. My skin was nicely hydrated after use, but nothing amazing. Repurchase? Even if I loved this sheet mask, I don't think I would buy it again because I was not a fan of the fragrance, as it has a chemical kind of scent. Simple Facial Toner- As the name suggests, this toner is a no-frills product. It may be basic, but it works well to remove any last impurities left after using cleanser. Repurchase? I have a few back-ups because this product is a staple in my routine. The
