Nail Polish Declutter Update #15

Image
Today I will be showing you what nail polishes I am decluttering in this update. I'm not sure what this cute little guy's name is, but I have to keep this polish. Luckily, it is a gorgeous flakie holo. Boom Box Black I'm going to keep this polish for now. I like the combo of the suspended black and yellow pieces. If I don't reach for it after the declutter, I will part with it. Shade #70 I kind of like the gold and coloured glitter, but "kind of" just can't cut it when I'm trying to reduce my stash. Decluttering. I Love You I love the colour and the glitter is so pretty, it can easily be worn on its own without the need of a base colour. I am going to keep it. Shade # 78 Dark purple and glitter would normally be something I need in my life when it comes to nail polish, but I don't know what it is with this one, but I don't feel the need to keep it. Revolution Makeup Red Velvet Palette

Image
Along with the Peanut Butter Cup palette, I also received the Red Velvet eye shadow palette in the Revolution I Heart Chocolate Christmas pack. I love the white over red melting chocolate palette. The palette has a selection of reds, pinks and neutrals. I'll show you some swatches. Typical of the Revolution formula, the mattes are a little powdery, but blend well. The shimmers are pigmented and work best over an eye shadow base. I did like the shades, but I wasn't as inspired as I expected when I started creating eye looks. This is not a reflection on the palette at all, I think I overdid it with warm shades when they became a huge trend.  Here's the 3 looks that I created. I could certainly live without this eye shadow palette, but am happy to have it in my collection.

Lipstick Declutter Update #14

Image
I'm glad that I am still enjoying trying each lipstick from my collection to test and see what I want to keep and what I want to declutter. I am not sure what the shade name of this lipstick is, but it is many years old. so I've decided to declutter it. ColourPop Lippie Stix in I Heart This I adore this formula and the colour, so it will be staying in my stash. BH Cosmetics Color Lock in Adore Me As much as I like this lipstick it is very old and has to go. MAC Mind Control I can't believe I am decluttering a MAC lipstick, but I just know that I won't wear a glossy red lipstick. Lime Crime Dream Girl I love Lime Crime liquid lipsticks and I am going to definitely keep this shade. Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil I really like this red, but I just found it a bit messy to wear, so will be saying goodbye. NYX Liquid Suede in Respect The Pink Well, I'm afraid that I will not be respecting this pink, becau

Evening Skincare Routine

Image
Recently I posted my morning skincare routine, if you haven't read it, you can find it here . So, it's only fitting that I show you what products I am currently using at night.  There are a couple of products that I use from my morning routine, but most are different. Simple Cleansing Oil - This is my first cleanse if I'm wearing makeup, this budget friendly oil cleanser is a staple for me because it does such a great job at dissolving makeup. Moreish Cream Cleanser - My go-to second cleanser, or first if I haven't worn makeup. Gentle and hydrating, yet cleanses my skin. The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA- I am currently using the Lactic Acid to try a different acid after finishing my Glycolic Toner. I am really enjoying it, the serum is helping to smooth my skin as it gently exfoliates. I haven't had any adverse reactions using this active. The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane- I decided to give the retinoid a try before

February Empties

Image
I really thought I would have finished more products in February, but I have some skincare items that seem never ending, sigh. A couple of faves in my empties post this month.  Sukin Natural Deodorant- This is the first natural deodorant that I have used. I found that it gave me decent protection and I liked the neutral, fresh scent. Repurchase? I am using a different one at the moment, but would consider buying this Sukin one again when I am in need. Mad For Keratin Hair Treatment- My daughter passed this treatment on to me because she doesn't use a hair mask. I only wash my hair once a week, so used this hair mask in place of a conditioner. Repurchase? No, I wouldn't. I didn't dislike it, but for me it was no different to using a regular conditioner. Swisse Hibiscus Anti-Aging Night Cream - This is a jar of rich moisturiser, which is the kind of night cream that I look for. It is budget friendly and does a decent job of hydrating my skin. Rep

Breeze Balm

Image
When the team at Breeze Balm generously offered me to try their product, I was quick to say yes. I mean, who doesn't love lip balm? In fact, my dry lips need it.  The founder of Breeze Balm, Sammy Leo, not only wanted to sell a lip balm that had been a formulation created by her pharmacist Grandfather in the 1950s, much loved by locals and families and friends of the Leo family. She also wanted to create a brand that made customers smile, the main attribute of beauty just being yourself. More info can be found here . The balm comes in a squeeze tube with 15g of product. It has a lipstick shaped applicator that you can press to the lips as the tube is squeezed to dispense product on directly. The balm is has a creamy consistency, like a whipped balm. There are 7 flavour choices available and I settled on Candy Kiss, I couldn't resist the thought of having the taste of candy on my lips!  It tastes and smells as good as it sounds! When I first applied t
