Wishlist 2018 #1

Image
I figured that a wishlist post was way overdue. I am once again trying to not buy too many beauty items that I don't need. Of course, I am always lusting after products and I often fill a "shopping cart" and at the last minute don't hit the order button. It might sound a little crazy, but this action kind of helps the craving to shop online. I'll show you what I am currently lusting after. Photo credit- ColourPop In-nude-endo Pressed Powder Highlighter Palette - The shades in this palette are the highlighter shades that I gravitate to. Not over the top colours, but more "natural". Every time I am tempted to order this palette, I have nothing really to add to the cart (gotta get that free shipping!) I love so many of their products, but I already have a lot that need using so I really can't justify ordering right now. If I hear a hint of this palette being discontinued, I'll jump on it then. Shop My Stash Palette Edition- Makeup Revolution Soph Eye Shadow Palette

Image
The Makeup Revolution Soph eye shadow palette is a collaboration with YouTuber Sophdoesnails. I can't say I had heard of Soph before, but after watching a few swatch videos I had to have this palette. The packaging is quite simple with gold writing over a rubbery textured pale nude colour, I like it. The inside is far from quite simple with many pops of colour. I'll show you a pic. So many fun shades, but a neutral look can also be achieved with this palette. After using the Naked Palette for a week, I couldn't wait to be playing with colour again. The mattes were great for crease work. I wasn't keen on that last black shade, but I rarely wear black shadow anyway. Actually that 2nd last brown next to the black wasn't the best either, but I could get use out of it in the crease. The shimmers were nice, but did need a base. Which is something I use anyway. 2018 Favourites #1

Image
Before I had a break from blogging, I started monthly favourites. This year I am trying not to buy so much, so I tend to stick to the same products. I do still discover items that I love, so I decided I will share my favourites whenever I have a handful of items to show. I have 6 products to show you that I have been loving. Nivea Medicated Lip Repair- This was an add on product to an order I had made through iHerb. I've gotta get that free shipping, right? I wasn't expecting to love this lip balm. It feels nourishing and the cooling effect is soothing on my dry lips. Lip balms don't generally get me excited, but this one is fantastic. Etude House Sunprise Sunscreen - This is a mineral sunscreen lotion that gives no white cast and is not greasy. Once absorbed, it is dry to the touch and being a lotion it is weightless. It seems that my favourite sunscreens are K-beauty ones. I really wish Australia had options like these and I didn't have to order online.

Nutrimetics Ultra Care+ Platinum Tight Firm and Fill Eye Serum

Image
Nutrimetics is one of those brands that I have heard of, but not really tried. When I say not really, I tested product at a party I went to many years ago with a friend, but never bought anything. I couldn't even tell you what I had tried, I just can't remember. Anyway, I won a goodie bag from Beauty Heaven that included the Ultra Care + Platinum Tight Firm and Fill Eye Serum and was happy to give it a try. Taken from Nutrimetics - "Experience next generation skincare for younger skin at any age. This ultra-lightweight formula features a concentrated dose of an exclusive, patent-pending Tri-Peptide Complex, and potent botanicals including Algae Complex to smooth away wrinkles, brighten dark circles and reduce under-eye bags. This innovative formula allows you to experience visible results in 15 minutes." The eye serum is packaged in a 10 ml squeeze silver tube. Underneath the cap is 3 small roller balls that help apply product.  The milky serum is slightly cr

Shop My Stash Palette Edition- Urban Decay Naked Palette

Image
I thought I'd go old school with this Shop My Stash blog post. I decided to play with the Urban Decay Naked palette mostly because although I've swatched it a few times, I have used it one time on my lids. It is one of my oldest palettes that I own and I wanted to take the opportunity to get a few days use out of it. We all know what this palette looks like, but I'll go ahead and post pics anyway Now onto the swatches The only shades that I'm not that keen on this palette are the matte black and shimmery charcoal, they're not bad quality, I just don't generally use those shades. The mattes blend nicely and the shimmers apply well and are fine on their own, but if needed can be intensified with a damp brush. I did like the looks I was able to create, but it did not take long for me to get bored just using this palette. I like colour on my lids. The Urban Decay Naked eye shadow palette for me makes a great companion palette for a shimmer

Sally Hansen HD in Laser is going because it took forever to dry. Zoya's Irene and Sally Hansen in Blizzard Blue are also being decluttered because I found them both to be too sheer. Nail polish tally now stands at 29 Thanks for reading xx
