In this edition of shop my stash, I decided to give another ColourPop palette a try. I wasn't a huge fan of the first one I tried, the Dream St palette , but I was willing to play with the palette You Had Me At Hello.  The palette has a neutral vibe, but there's also a gorgeous rose gold shimmer and matte purple shade. I'll show you the swatches. I love the mix of shimmers and mattes. There's transition shades, lid shades and crease shades. The mattes blend well and the shimmers, although soft and have the potential of crumbling in the pan when dipping a brush in, are nicely pigmented. Being a busy week for me, I only had time to create 2 eye looks.     Well I must say that I am happy to have this palette in my collection!

The ColourPop Dream St eye shadow palette is a collaboration with popular beauty Youtuber Kathleen Lights. This is the first pressed eye shadow palette I have tried from ColourPop and I was excited to play with it. I appreciate that you can achieve a neutral look, but you can also create a more colourful one, too. I'll show you the swatches. The mattes in this palette are smooth and blendable. The shimmers are beautiful, but do need a primer and some look best when applied with a finger as they apply more pigmented and foiled.  I am happy with this palette, but I can't say it's my favourite. Apart from using the matte green in my crease, my looks were all very similar and I must say that after a few days of use, I felt uninspired. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice palette, but unfortunately I could see this palette getting lost in my eye shadow collection. Thanks for reading xx

It's probably no secret that I love ColourPop. I had been so tempted to buy throughout the year, but I only ordered twice last year, the biggest being towards the end of the year. I've been trying not to buy so much makeup, but there's times I just need to treat myself! I took the opportunity to buy some products that I had not tried before. The concealer is packaged in a tube with a wand. The applicator is unlike any I've tried before. It is more of a sponged paddle that's flexible. Applies the concealer just as well as a doe-foot. The consistency is quite creamy, I would say slightly thicker than the Maybelline FitMe concealer. I love this product, it blends nicely and covers my dark circles well. I did set with powder as a preventative step, I always do this with any concealer I'm using so it doesn't crease. I also bought the Precision Brow Pencil. One end there is a spoolie and the other is the wind up pencil. I'm glad I did...

I have reviewed the ColourPop Ultra Satins in the past, so I won't go into too much detail about the product, you can read the review here . In short, they are a liquid lipstick with a mousse-y formula. They don't set completely, but are long wearing and very comfortable on the lips. ColourPop had a sale that I couldn't resist (story of my life!) plus with a minimum spend I was able to get free liquid lipstick minis. I chose the Ultra Satin formula because it is my favourite. As a hoarder lover of lipsticks, I actually prefer minis, because I rarely finish a full sized lipstick. The shades I ordered are Frick 'n' Frack, London Fog, Strip and Prim. If you read the post on my lipstick collection , you would notice that of all the lip products I own, lip glosses are a minority. I prefer a longer lasting lip product. However, out of curiosity I decided to try the ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip. Today I will be showing you the shade Hack, which is from the Amanda Steele collaboration. The lip gloss come in a typical gloss tube complete with doe foot applicator. The formula is really nice to wear on the lips. It's not sticky or tacky, but feels smooth and moisturising. Wear time is fairly average, but that was to be expected. The shade of Hack is a sheer peachy nude with golden shimmer. It's such a lovely colour that I find quite flattering on the lips.. For a product that I don't often reach for, I really like the ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lips .

As we say hello to June, I thought I'd share my May empties with you. Here's my strangely satisfying basket of empty products, so yes, rubbish! NS-8 Heel Balm Complex- A lotion for dry, cracked heels that acted as nourishing as a balm. My favourite way of using this product was to slather my feet at bedtime and cover with socks overnight. The result being super smooth feet. Repurchase? Yes, I would love to get my hands on some more of this! Skinn PM Cleanser - I finished 2 of these cleansers, 1 being full size, the other a travel size. A creamy cleanser that I used day and night because I no longer want to use gel cleansers. Repurchase? I still have another to use. Skinn Hydro-Vital Cream - A rich moisturiser that can be used day and night. Targeted for dry skin. Nice product, but I hate the packaging. I much prefer airless, or even a pump so I'm not dipping my fingers into the product. Repurchase? A fantastic moisturiser to hydrate the skin, b...

Today I will be showing you my update on the products I am trying to finish, my last was about 2 months ago. You can see that here . This is a rolling 5 pan so I just replace products as I finish them. I'll start by showing you the ColourPop eye shadow in Cornelius. I used as much as I could, but am calling it a day on this one because it just became too dry to use. I am pretty happy that I got so much use out of it, though. The 2nd product that I finished was the MBA Cosmetics lipstick sample in Drama Queen. I know it's not a huge achievement, but I just want to try and get through these samples before they go bad. The last 2 months I seemed to make better progress on this concealer. I made an effort to use the LA Girl eye liner more, making sure to use on the lower water line as well as the upper, still slow going, but there is progress.
