Miracle L- Round 3

Well another month had past since my last round of Miracle L so it was time to get it into my skin again. What is inconvenient is that it falls on the same day of the month that I schedule microneedling. I did consider changing my routine, but figured I only have a couple more Miracle L procedures left so I might as well just continue with this schedule. Using Iniblanc mapping makes for a quicker procedure, I didn't bother marking the points on my face. Drawing up the product into a syringe is actually the step of the procedure that I dislike. It is quite a thick consistency and takes me so long and I seem to lose product during the process which annoys me because I don't want to waste a drop of this stuff! After the bruise I got with my last round of Miracle L, which I still have, I opted not to inject any under my eyes. Any extra I have, I save for my lip area. It's does not feel nice at all but if I can reverse aging in that area it will be worth it.  So far I haven'

Treating the Neck With Threads

In keeping up with my current run of using threads every 2 weeks, next on my agenda was my neck area because I was yet to put threads there. My plan being to begin horizontal, then vertical to create the hash pattern which results in optimal collagen building for structure in that area. Inserting the threads became more about feel because the position made it more difficult to see in the mirror. I have a mirror that is magnified on one side which is handy with my poor eyesight but the angle I was looking into made it even harder because I have multifocal glasses and looking through the bottom part of my lenses made for blurry vision. Eventually I worked out that not wearing my glasses was actually better. Doing this while trying to capture it on camera made it even more difficult. I used 29 gauge by 25 mm mono PDO threads. Although a bigger diameter than threads I have used before they were not big enough to make any noticeable difference, they went in as easily as the 30 gauge. As se

Dermagen Trimo90 Shampoo and Tonic Review

Considering what I have put my hair through over the years, the condition of my hair isn't too bad. Sure, I have dry ends and frizziness but that's to be expected with the damage caused by bleaching. What has bothered me of late however is the thinning, especially in the areas that typically are known to recede with age. I apply masks and serums but come across the Dermagen Trimo90 range which consists of a shampoo and tonic . These products are formulated to treat the hair at the root, being the scalp. This makes sense because a healthy scalp leads to healthy hair. Both products contain growth factors, peptides and a patented complex consisting of portulaca, dong quai, fleeceflower, asaroum, biota orientalis, sophora root, lycium, safflower and gingo leaf. The formulation promotes hair growth by stimulating circulation of the scalp and strengthening its barrier. The shampoo comes in a 500 ml bottle with handy pump top dispenser. As directed I apply to my hair and massage con

Trying HA Mono Threads

What could make a mono PDO thread even better? Coat it in hyaluronic acid! These threads not only help to create structure but also some volume, too. I couldn't wait to give these threads a try but my dilemma was where to insert them. My obvious question being where did I want volume the most? Well, that was easy really, vemillion border around my lips where I have smoker lines. I don't smoke, so go figure! Now I am adventurous but not enough to insert the 20 in my lips, so next spot being the hollows under my eyes. I'm not sure 12 will make a noticeable difference but it's a building block that I can work on. Besides I had never placed threads under my eyes so not going to lie, I was intimidated. Like most of us, I would prefer to protect my eyes I did find that these threads which are 20 gauge by 25 mm, by the way, didn't glide in quite as easily as regular mono PDO threads. However, by taking my time the procedure went quite well. Around my lips was not very com

DIY Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid serums have become so popular thanks to its hydrating nature and hydration equals dewy, plump skin. What I dislike about HA serums is often the cost for such a low cost ingredient. What's more is just.                  how.                        easy.                                  it. is.                                           to. make. So here I am today to show you how to do it. Of course you can tweak it how you want and add ingredients such as glycerine for more slip, but I just wanted the simplest formula which consists of hyaluronic acid and water. Yep, that is it. Ingredients 1/8 tsp hyaluronic acid 2 TB filtered water Method Mix ingredients together and mix mix mix.  The ha takes a long time to dissolve, it took around an hour and I just intermittently gave the mixture a stir with a skewer from time to time until the ha had disappeared into the mixture. Being my first time I went ham and mixed up double the ingredients than what I really needed, so i
