January Empties 2018

Image
I've quickly realised that this year is going to fly by once again, I mean, where did January go?  I finished a few things during the past month and I decluttered a handful of things, too. Foot Doctor 30 Minute Peeling Mask- A sheet mask for feet that is formulated to exfoliate the feet. When I first used this foot mask I didn't think it was going to work. But one week later and the skin on my feet started peeling. I must admit that I enjoyed peeling off the dead skin, gross, I know! Repurchase? I would consider buying this foot mask again as it works well and is cheaper than Baby Foot. Skinfood Centella Asiatica Sheet Mask- This is a soothing sheet mask. It is of the regular cloth variety. Repurchase? I wouldn't seek this mask out to buy again, it was nice, but it just didn't impress me enough. Swisse Vitamin E Facial Moisturiser - A no fuss budget friendly moisturiser. Repurchase? I did like using this moisturiser, but I'm enjoying the Sw

Beauty By Nicholas No No Needles

Image
After winning a Beauty By Nicolas skincare pack on a Beauty Heaven Instagram giveaway, the product that I was most intrigued to try was the No No Needles. Taken from Beauty By Nicholas - "This gentle but effective formula delivers visible results without painful injections or that frozen look. You will see instant wrinkle relaxing, line smoothing results and even bigger benefits with long term usage." The packaging is very interesting to say the least. The serum comes in a silver cylinder with a pump to dispense. Not just any pump, this one comes complete with a metal ball on the end for application. The serum has a gel-like consistency. I like the idea of the ball for applying the product to the desired areas, but I find I have to be careful of the amount dispensed using the pump. It is hard to control the product released, I often pump too much for the small areas that I want to apply. The easiest way for me to apply is pump the product, apply using my fingers, the

Dose of Colors DesiXKaty Collection

Image
During the Black Friday sales I jumped on a few products from the DesiXKaty collection. I really wanted some products when they were first released, but I just couldn't justify the price, especially taking consideration of the exchange rate from US to Aus dollars and shipping. This is also my first time trying anything from the Dose of Colors range. What I had to have was the eye shadow quad. The shadows looked just as stunning as the packaging. Of course, who orders one thing online? I added lipstick No Shade and liquid lipstick Hot Fire to my order. I was very tempted to grab at least one of the highlighters, but I changed my mind and added Berry Me 2 liquid lipstick from the regular line. I have plenty of highlighters and can't seem to make a dent in any of them! When I received my order the first thing I did was ooh and aah over the packaging. From the sparkle of the gold mesh packaging of the palette to the classy looking nude lipstick casing. Just stunning.

Nail Polish Declutter Update #3

Image
I'm still going "strong" with trying on my nail polishes. Going strong, as in making sure to wear 3 polishes a week. I really don't know how people change nail polishes every day. Apart from not being bothered, I worry about the nail polish remover on my nails and skin as it is. Opalescent  Shade 66 Austine No label Designer De Better Carbonite Tasseled Taupe Give 3 cheers for Models Inc, finally a shade that made the cut and didn't actually get the cut! Opalescent is indeed sheer, but has a gorgeous purple iridescent shift, very pretty but of course I couldn't capture it with my camera. I am also not doing a great declutter effort this month because I am only decluttering Revlon nail polish in Carbonite and keeping the rest.  Current tally of nail polishes is 22

Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner

Image
I've been meaning to getting into using Korean skincare more, but my current stash is pretty full and I just didn't want to add even more products to the already long line waiting to be used. Finally I realised that there was a product that I could add and use straight away. An Essence. Although this wasn't a step in my routine, it is a product that many Korean women are not without. It is applied after toner to add hydration which in turn helps with the absorption of serums and moisturisers. I was overwhelmed by the wide range of essences available on the market. Not surprisingly, I was led by a sale on Yesstyle and decided to try the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner. Taken from Yesstyle - "A hydrating toner formulated with hydroxyethyl cellulose, arginine and astragalus root extract to enhance skin texture." The essence toner is packaged in a dark plastic bottle containing 200 ml of product. The bottle has a flip-top lid with a small hole under the cap. It is

Shop My Stash Palette Edition - Morphe Jaclyn Hill Palette

Image
There will be no panning of a palette this year. My aim instead is to explore more of my palettes. I was tossing up eye shadow palette series ideas and finally decided on Shop My Stash, where I choose a palette and use it for around 2 weeks. I was going to do a one month two palettes, but I figured it would be easier to just showcase one palette at a time. As you've probably figured out I have been playing with the Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette. I have been wanting to try this palette for months now and I felt so much joy getting to use it. Yes, my life is super exciting! Lol. Just look at all of those shades! This palette just speaks to me with all of those warm colours, some cool and gorgeous pops of colour. The only shade missing is a matte bone shade, which could have been added instead of 2 similar shimmery ones, but I'm really happy with this palette. The mattes are nice and easy to use, the shimmery shades are gorgeous. The only issue I noticed is s
