Since Christmas, I have been playing with so many new goodies, and have still got so many to try out!  One of the amazing presents that I got from Ash of blog, The Beauty Collection , was Sugarpill "Mochi". I was a participant in an organized blogger Kris Kringle . Oh my, I still can't believe that I finally have Sugarpill in my makeup collection!   Mochi is a matte mint green. This eye shadow has fantastic pigmentation, with a texture that is not at all chalky, like many mattes can be . Along with the beautiful Mochi, I also used my trusty 88 palette for that gorgeous raspberry colour, as well as some contouring. Mascara is Prestige "My Blackest Lashes" and eye liner Mirenesse Longwear Eye Gel in Black. Look at that lovely eye shadow that is Mochi! I totally get the obsession with Sugarpill, and no doubt will be needing more shades! :)

"I'm a barbie girl..." I tell you, I was't feeling all plastic fantastic recreating barbie. When I think of Valentine's Day, many things come to mind. Love hearts, teddy bears, chocolates, flowers and sweet, romantic cards. How I celebrate this day? Not much really. I might buy a box of chocolates for hubby and I to share between ourselves in bed, when the kids are asleep, and a glass or 2 of wine. Really it's just an excuse for us to indulge in chocolate. If you've seen my other FOTD posts, you'd notice that I'm more inclined to play up my eyes, rather than my lips. Don't get me wrong I really like lip products, but my first love is eye shadows. Today's post came about because I was running out of time to get ready. Eye shadow application can really take quite some time when getting ready. A simple neutral brown cream shadow on my lid, some gel liner and mascara, my eye look was done! ...and this is the hero of my makeup look. Ulta3 lipstick in "Cherry Wine" Moisturising, pigmented and very budget friendly, this lipstick was a great buy! Do you concentrate on emphasizing the eyes or the lips? Maybe both? :)

I love my mascara to be black, very black, so when I found Prestige "My Blackest Lashes" mascara, I couldn't wait to try it. Now when I say found, I really don't remember how I ended up with this in my collection, but I was sure going to apply it to my lashes.   The formula contains beeswax, which is known to give lashes volume with no clumping, smudging or flaking.                                        The mascara comes in a typical tube. The packaging isn't anything fancy, which isn't something concerns me, anyway. It's the inside that counts, right?                                           The brush is long and thin, with many bristles. Similar to many that I have used in the past. To be honest, when I first began applying this mascara, I really wasn't too keen...

I never go to the races during Victoria's Racing Carnival, however, I do enjoy the fashion. From the elegant dresses to the head wear, makeup and gorgeous heels.
