For this Christmas look, I went for a very wearable option. Something I'd be comfortable wearing during the festive season. Some regular products I wear daily, mixed with other not-so-loved makeup. Thanks to the lovely Kat from Kats Colourings , I was lucky enough to win some lovely goodies, including the Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil in "Fuchsia Desire". Of course, being a beautiful hot pink, it was destined to be worn on my lips. Quite some time ago I was offered the opportunity to trial Dr LeWinn's Anti-ageing Primer and Foundation , thanks to website, Beauty Heaven. I loved the 2 products so much that, I went ahead and purchased the illuminiser from the range. The product has barely been touched. Not because I didn't like it, but because I just don't include a highlighter in my makeup routine. Well, with the warmer weather, I had the urge to use a highlighter. Ok, more of an excuse to begin to use up my highlighting products by applying them on a more regular basis. The product comes packaged in a 20 ml tube As you can see, delivery of product is through quite a small nozzle.  The illuminiser is of a cream consistency. I apply by dotting the highlighter along the top of my cheek bones, then blend out. The formula is so light, so there's no feeling of cakiness. Though, I've learnt that a little goes a very long way. I love that once applied, a glow is achieved...

The lure of some samples had me happily filling out a survey on my favourite beauty website, Beauty Heaven . I had no idea that the sample parcel would be not only so beautifully packaged, but so generous, too.  In my prize pack I received a Lady Jayne Tangle Eze, Vagisil wipes, Dr LeWinns Day Cream, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel , Ultime Crystal Shine conditioner and Elucent Whitening sample pack. The first thing I did was take out the brush and give it a go. Seems to work well on my short, fine hair. I have used the Elucent anti ageing range, which I really liked. When I saw that the brand had released a skin whitening range, it was something that I had wanted to try for some time. What I really appreciate about Valentine's Day is the beautiful feminine colours that it conjures, namely pinks and reds. Oh-so-pretty! Thanks to a Gift With Purchase at Priceline, I was able to try Dr LeWinns Refining Toner. The blue toned liquid comes in a large 178ml bottle. Unscrewing the lid reveals a "stopper" with hole, so you just simply tip to pour a small amount onto a cotton pad (my choice of application method) It smells quite refreshing and herbal, thanks to the aloe vera and cucumber extract. Using this toner is a great way to finish the cleansing process. Any impurities are removed, whilst returning the skin's PH level back to normal. I love that the refining abilities of this toner are not achieved with the drying effects of alcohol. The toner is targeted at normal to dry skin tones, however I found that it worked well to remove my skin of oil on my combination type. Would I repurchase? To be honest, toner is a product I use, but it's not on my radar until I need it. I generally buy whatever is reasonably priced that fits into my skincare criteria of being gentle, yet effectiv...

This post is in honour of the lovely Kat from Kat's Colourings . After being one of the winners of her fabulous give away, I was given the opportunity to finally add the Resolution Red L'Oreal Infallible 2 Step Lipstick to my lipstick collection. A product that I had been coveting for some time, but had not purchased because of my make up no-buy. For those a little intimidated by red but so want to sport this sexy shade on their lips, this red is for you! It is such a wearable red, it has a slight pinky tone, so not scary to wear at all.  I love how the 2 step system is in the one tube. You simply apply the colour first. I found that the sponge applicator made for a precise application, which is important when wearing a brighter lip. I was surprised that this product did not apply patchy. Once dry it did feel slightly tight, the way a lip stain can feel on the lips, but there is a solution. Yes, simply slick on a little of the balm, and wow the lips feel so moisturised. I...

Although I love to play with various eye shadows, I often concentrate on one colour for the lid and then neutrals to contour. For this look, I decided to use two noticeably different colours on my lid. Face- Dr LeWinn's Primer and Anti ageing Foundation, I love this liquid foundation. Coastal Scents Camo Quad in Medium to conceal and highlight. This beauty has 4 shades. I use the white to highlight under my brows. To conceal dark circles, I use a mixture of the darkest and medium tones. I am finding this quad to be such a multi-tasking product. I was a little intimidated with the 4 colour creams, but now I reach for it daily. L'Oreal Blush in Sandalwood Veil. This dusty pink blush seems to be my go-to-blush of late. I'm not much of a liquid foundation wearer, but I was more than happy to try, especially being well known and loved brand, Dr LeWinn's.  Dr. LeWinns Skin Perfect Anti-ageing Primer is designed to prepare skin for foundation. Marketed as an anti-ageing product, this primer promises to allow makeup to glide over skin, making the face a perfect canvass, no matter what the skin concern. The formula contains Dr LeWinns patented ingredient, Evermat™. This technology's purpose is to visibly reduce the appearance of pores and absorb excess oils, without over-drying.
