Valentine's Day Makeup and Nails

What I really appreciate about Valentine's Day is the beautiful feminine colours that it conjures, namely pinks and reds. Oh-so-pretty!
This year I thought that I should go all out and create a makeup and corresponding nail look, and of course share with you!
Face
Garnier BB cream

Maybelline Color Tattoo Inked in Pink on lids
Peachy shade from the Performance Colors trio on the center of my lid
Frosted pink shade from 88 Warm palette to blend out from crease
UD Midnight Cowboy Eyeliner on lower inner rim
L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara

 Lips
Mirenesse Duet Lip Liner, using Rose
Too Faced Whipped Lip Luxe in Couture





Ok, onto the nails

Apart from my pinky finger, I used OPI Animalistic for my base colour. OMG, I love this pinky red! Using Sally Hansen Xtreme Nail Polish in Pink Satin, I applied over 2 of the Animalistic bases. Simply using scrunched up cling wrap, I proceeded to dab on the nails, whilst the pink coat was wet, until the desired amount of base colour was visible. On my ring finger I stamped on the design using Pink Satin. On my pinky finger I applied Beau Kiss glitter topper in shade 10, over the pink polish.



Now, I love spending time with you, but I really should be enjoying Valentine's Day with hubby! Happy Valentine's! :)

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over! Taken from BH Cosmetics - "This palette features 11 original shades plus 10 chic new shadows and highlighters in buttery blendable formulas with staying power."
