I really wanted to try one of my Dawn Eyes Cosmetics Premium loose eye shadows. They are multi-chrome, beautiful and needed to be applied to my lids. So, I took the opportunity to also create a Makeup Mess post. If you read my first Makeup Mess, you'll notice some of the same products, but I did change some things up. I'll begin with eye products. Elf Mad About Matte Eye Shadow Palette- I used 2 of these shadows in my crease, they make fantastic transition shades. Suva Beauty Block Party Eye Shadow Palette- I blended the navy blue shade into my outer "v". It's amazing the connections you can make on the internet. Finding like-minded people is so much easier than in "real life"and you can form some wonderful friendships. I have made many who have the same interests in beauty and I feel fortunate to now call them my friends. One such person was kind enough to offer me a ColourPop eye shadow that just wasn't working for her. Being a fan of the shadows, I was more than happy to take it from her hands. I felt pretty good about the amount of products I finished in July. A little bit of everything, really. Makeup, skincare, perfume and nail related. Select nail polish remover- I go through nail polish remover fairly quickly, so will buy a back up during a food shop. Because most of my grocery shopping is at Woolworths, I mostly use the Select brand. Repurchase? Yes, it is convenient to buy. Skinn Hylighten Dark Circle and Puffiness Treatment - I had high expectations for this roll on serum for the under eye area. I have terrible dark circles and experience puffiness also. Repurchase? This serum was easy to add to my skincare routine because it absorbed so quickly. However, I didn't experience the results I desired, so I won't be repurchasing. Beyonce "Pulse" - A nice perfume. I hated the bottle, the base was small, so I was always knocking it over. Repurchase? The perfume did not wow me enough to warrant a replacement. Lacura Mineral Clay Mask - I...

Isn't it funny to be so obsessed with rubbish? I just love empties posts! I enjoy writing them, as well as reading them. As I say goodbye to Feb, I can say good bye to a fairly good chunk of empty packaging (mostly). Skinn Collagenesis ABC Triple Action Peel - Having 4 "syringes" of product in this pack, meant that I only had a month's worth to use. The double barreled packaging was needed to ensure the 2 formulas to be separated, only mixed upon application. I must say that I was not excited by the results, I had high hopes for this peel. I used one application for face and neck, only to discover after watching a demo on TVSN, that it is actually required to use one product for only the face to ensure maximum results. If you want to treat the neck, another one is required. Repurchase? When I think of Valentine's Day, many things come to mind. Love hearts, teddy bears, chocolates, flowers and sweet, romantic cards. How I celebrate this day? Not much really.
