Face of the Day Featuring MAC Huggable Lipcolour in Love Feeling

It's amazing the connections you can make on the internet. Finding like-minded people is so much easier than in "real life"and you can form some wonderful friendships. I have made many who have the same interests in beauty and I feel fortunate to now call them my friends. One such person was kind enough to offer me a ColourPop eye shadow that just wasn't working for her. Being a fan of the shadows, I was more than happy to take it from her hands. You can imagine my surprise when not only had she sent me the shadow, but a MAC lipstick also. I was so excited, because I'd never tried a MAC lipstick before. Thank you, darling Su! MAC Huggable Lipcolour in Love Feeling and ColourPop Eyeshadow in Hammered.

The eyeshadow was instant love The lipstick I thought may be a little bright, a little orange. I didn't care, it was going on my lips whether it suited me or not!

Using my everyday makeup items and these 2 products I came up with the following FOTD

  
 



  

I actually love the lip colour. It is such a statement shade and fantastic for Summer. The formula is just beautiful, I love the creamy feel and glossy look it provides. Unfortunately now I need more MAC lipsticks! LOL.

    Yes, the lipstick looks great on you. Orange is my favorite color so I like the combination you created with the shadow.

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over!
