If you've seen my other FOTD posts, you'd notice that I'm more inclined to play up my eyes, rather than my lips. Don't get me wrong I really like lip products, but my first love is eye shadows. Today's post came about because I was running out of time to get ready. Eye shadow application can really take quite some time when getting ready. A simple neutral brown cream shadow on my lid, some gel liner and mascara, my eye look was done! ...and this is the hero of my makeup look. Ulta3 lipstick in "Cherry Wine" Moisturising, pigmented and very budget friendly, this lipstick was a great buy! Do you concentrate on emphasizing the eyes or the lips? Maybe both? :)

I never go to the races during Victoria's Racing Carnival, however, I do enjoy the fashion. From the elegant dresses to the head wear, makeup and gorgeous heels. What I really appreciate about Valentine's Day is the beautiful feminine colours that it conjures, namely pinks and reds. Oh-so-pretty! After falling in love with Maybelline Color Tattoos, I decided to find out what indie brands had to offer in way of cream shadows. I began with a search on Etsy and come across Performance Colors . I was surprised at just how large the range is. Products for eyes lips and face. Apart from mascara, everything you need for a full face of make up is available. What really attracted me to this etsy store was that these products were so similar to what's available in stores, with the benefit of not containing any nasties. The service was fantastic. I am so used to slow international shipping, that to be honest I didn't notice that the order had taken longer than normal to process. I love an excuse to do a full face of makeup, taking my time to apply (or play, lol), so when invited out for dinner for a friend's birthday, it was the perfect excuse. I don't get out much these days, lol. The products that I used for my face were: I really like Skin79 BB Cream, there are many options, but to be honest after trying this, the pink and orange version, I don't see a difference in either. In saying that, I like the coverage and finish of this BB cream. It is fine on its own in winter, but in the warmer months it is way too light for my skin colour. What I really like to use it for in summer, is a primer. I find using this product as a primer, means I don't need to conceal, well apart from under my eyes. It gives me a great base for foundation. I often use a powder mineral makeup foundation. I used a mix of Everyday Minerals Intensive tan and Sunlight Kaolin finishing powder to lighten to suit my skintone.
