Ok, so that time of the month has come around that I get to show you my rubbish. Only the beauty rubbish of course. I got through a few makeup and skincare items and some items that I am binning unfinished. L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation - I don't think I have ever bought a high end foundation. It takes some trial and error to find a good one, but I'm always glad that I'm not paying too much. In saying that, the L'Oreal Infallible foundation is quite expensive at RRP, so I bought it during the Priceline 40% off sale. Repurchase? I am not in need of any foundations at the moment. When I do need a replacement, I really want to try the new Infallible foundation. If I'm not happy with it, I would definitely consider buying this one again. Skinn DermAppeal- I didn't think I would use a physical exfoliator again until I tried the Dermappeal. It is very gritty and is almost like a micro-dermabrasion at home. I use this product once a week, ...

I love water marbling manis. Done right they can look stunning. I haven't even come close to mastering this style, but after trying a few times(and a lot of frustration), I have managed a mani that I'm willing to share. With a base colour of gold shimmer, OPI "Glitzerland", I then used China Glaze "Blue Iguana", Sally Hansen Extreme Wear "Pacific Blue" and Models Inc "Mink" to marble. Ok, so maybe not to the caliber of marbling that I dream of being able to create, but  it's not the murky mess that I generally end up with, lol.  The clean up isn't fun, so I can't see myself hurrying to try again in the near future. Have you tried water marbling? 

I'm a sucker for textured nail polish, especially when painting a one colour mani. China Glaze Crinkled Chrome polishes offer a metallic colour with an effect that reminds me of crushed foil. It is achieved with tiny threads that are suspended in the polish. "Crush Crush Baby" is a silvery pale pink. One coat is all you need to achieve this look. It makes me wonder what nail polish brands will think of next. I'm sure whatever it is, I will have to have it! :)

Searching through my polish stash to do this post, I decided to bypass the typical bright, intense colour, and thought I'd apply a dark colour for a change. Of course it couldn't be just any dark shade. A little shimmer drew me to China Glaze "Cast a Spell".  Mega flash pic to capture the golden shimmer. I adore this chic black gold. The shimmer is so beautiful and adds an elegance to the polish. Let's talk nail polish colour, what's your favourite shades? :)

Happy Halloween, or should I say BOO! Now, I know I'm Australian and Halloween is an American tradition, but I love the fun of Halloween. I don't celebrate the origins, I just get caught up with the "Trick or Treating" with the kids and it's a good excuse to create some fun looks. And this is where I tell you about my Halloween nails. To create the look on my nails, I used Maybelline Porcelain Party, China Glaze Black Mesh Crackle, Femme Fatale's Sinister Calling and Shadowsong, which is brought to life over black, becoming a gorgeous purple colour. I have not used a shatter polish for so long! To be honest, I had become quite over it, however, I really like the way it turned out for this look. To give my nails more of a Halloween feel, I added some stickers. Maybe I should include a game called "What are the stickers?" Lol, they got lost on the mani!
