The lure of some samples had me happily filling out a survey on my favourite beauty website, Beauty Heaven . I had no idea that the sample parcel would be not only so beautifully packaged, but so generous, too.  In my prize pack I received a Lady Jayne Tangle Eze, Vagisil wipes, Dr LeWinns Day Cream, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel , Ultime Crystal Shine conditioner and Elucent Whitening sample pack. The first thing I did was take out the brush and give it a go. Seems to work well on my short, fine hair. I have used the Elucent anti ageing range, which I really liked. I was given the opportunity to trial the Elucent range, thanks to Vibe Village. I had never heard of this brand before, but I have heard of the Australian company Ego, a well known brand that Elucent had been developed. This anti-ageing serum contains goodies such as, Vitamins B3, C and E. The active component of AHAs provides an effective chemical exfoliant. This aids to rid skin of dead cells, which cause such ageing effects like wrinkles. The concentration of AHA is 16 %, so a patch test is recommended, especially so for those with sensitive skin. The serum comes in a 30ml tube. Product is easily dispensed through a small nozzle, ensuring better control of this transparent gel  formula. A little goes a long way. Being a gel formula, it glides easily over the skin. I did find my skin felt a little tacky after initial application. Also within this eye cream is the active component of AHAs, which have been proven to be effective at chemical exfoliation. As we age our skin is not capable of ridding the amount of dead skin cells as possible when young, thus contributing to wrinkles and uneven skintone. The eye area is too sensitive for manual  exfoliators, so having this AHA option is perfect. Using AHAs omits the need for a manual exfoliator, which I find is too harsh on my skin, and if is massaged into the skin too firmly, can cause damage, especially so with thinner ageing skin.
