The Revlon ultra HD Gel Lipcolors had been on my radar and I took the opportunity to buy 2 when I was given some birthday money. Taken from Revlon - "Get high-definition, lightweight colour with new Ultra HD Gel Lipcolor. Intensely hydrating formula with hyaluronic acid."  The lipsticks come in a metallic slim tube with 1.7 g of product. The colour of the tube is similar to the lip shade. They have a yummy vanilla frosting scent. The lipstick applies easily, being a gel formula it just glides across the lips. Lava is a gorgeous orangey/red. It is quite pigmented. This lip product feels so comfortable on the lips and has an almost soothing quality like a balm. I found that the lipstick had quite good lasting power for such a creamy finish. I got around four hours of wear before needing to reapply. I now understand the buzz around the Revlon Ultra Gel Lip Colors. They not only look good, but feel so nice on the lips, too. It had been some time since I'd pulled out my dotting tools. For such a simple implement, the possibilities are endless in terms of designs that can be created. Revlon "Carbonite", Sinful Colors "Endless Blue" and Australis "#bethatgirl". Using the gorgeous pewter shade of "Carbonite" as my base coat, I dotted on "Endless Blue" and"#bethatgirl". I didn't really have a design in mind, I just had a play, and well this is what I came up with.  I love the contrast of the blue and purple. I went with a larger dotting tool with the blue polish. A little flower to finish it off, because, why not! A nice way to welcome in Spring, I think :)

I was so obsessed with the Revlon Colorburst Balm Stains when they were released. I have almost all of them. But, by the time the release of the Matte version, I wasn't sure that I really needed any. Oh, I was definitely curious, but each time I was tempted, I told myself "No!" I don't always listen to my logical self, but lately I have, mostly. Well, thanks to a giveaway held by the generous Christina of blog, Lovethatlippie one of the many products that I won was a Matte Balm Stain, and let me tell you, I wasn't at all disappointed. How pretty is this pink shade! "Showy" felt similar to the original formula, not drying at all and easy to apply, being a lip pencil. I found it to have very good coverage.  I didn't find that the longevity was the same. Another month, another empties post...   In May I finished quite a few products, and discovered some new favourite products. Wotnot Wipes- I bought a pack of 3 of these makeup wipes when on sale. Repurchase? I'm not sure, the wipes did a decent job of removing my makeup after my nightly oil cleanse. I am content using any brand that is cheap and does the job. FCUK Connect Perfume - This was a nice perfume to use, fruity and sweet. Repurchase? The longevity just wasn't good enough to warrant another purchase of this perfume. Skinn Vacuum Deep Pore Cleansing Mask - Ever since having a skin care routine, a clay mask has always been my weekly treatment. Being a member of website, Beauty Heaven , means I have had many perks, including a whopping prize pack containing a crazy amount of beauty products. Oh, it was heaven alright! The point I'm getting to is that I received Revlon Whipped Colorstay foundation among the many goodies. I remember the original Colorstay foundation from too many years ago. It was popular. I didn't like it. So, if it hadn't been for the lucky win, I would never have even tried this  version of the foundation. Taken from the Revlon website- " ...offers ultimate performance. When I think of Valentine's Day, many things come to mind. Love hearts, teddy bears, chocolates, flowers and sweet, romantic cards. How I celebrate this day? Not much really. I might buy a box of chocolates for hubby and I to share between ourselves in bed, when the kids are asleep, and a glass or 2 of wine. Really it's just an excuse for us to indulge in chocolate. Lately I've had the urge to do some nail stamping. Something I haven't tried before was stamping on a glitter polish.  I didn't want to go too crazy on the glitter (is that possible anyway? lol) So chose to use Revlon as my base colour. I then stamped a design using Maybelline Color Show and . I painted both colours, hoping to cause a gradient effect within the stamp design. Well, the lighter purple was not noticeable, so it looked like I'd stamped a small amount on the end of my nails. Oh well, not as I'd envisioned, but here's the end result. It's not terrible, just not much reward for the effort, lol. It's something I will try again, but using more vibrant colour.
