Maybelline Color Show nail polishes have so many shades on offer. I just love to check out the displays to see what new colours have been released. They are very budget friendly, and pretty good quality, too. The pretty green colour of "Avante Green" was calling me. The lure of metallic finished products is a weakness of mine. Isn't that forest green just so lush! I did need 3 coats for an opaque finish. The "extra" effort was so worth it! :)

A mask for the lips? I had to try it, well it did come in a skin care pack from the addictive TVSN (story of my life, lately!) Taken from the Skinn website- " Plump and prep your lips with out Lip Party Gel Mask. Works in 3 minutes and lasts for hours for that "bee stung" lips look." The mask comes in a simple jar with screw top lid. Doesn't that pink creamy gel look good enough to eat! I just apply like lip balm, I dip my finger in and smear across my lips. The directions say to just remain within the lips, but I generally go over my lip line by accident. 3 minutes is really only needed to get results. Using this mask will undoubtedly cause a reaction. My lips felt warm and become numb during use, not unlike a lot of lip plumpers available. The feeling remained even a few minutes after removal, which I did easily with a wash cloth, although I did just read that you only need to remove with a tissue.  My lips did appear slightly fuller...

Description- " The composition starts fresh mouthwatering notes of Italian bergamot, luscious plum and peach. The heart is composed of floral notes: night blooming gardenia, chocolate orchid and lotus flower. Textured woods, patchouli and skin musk are included in the base notes." As much as I like the angular sheer black bottle, for some reason the black tint has been flaking off. Messy and not a good look up close. That aside, this perfume is quite gourmand in nature. Very sweet and chocolate-y with rich, creamy florals that compliment beautifully.  It is not quite to the point of being too cloyingly sweet, but for me it is edging very close. "True Reflection" is not unique, but for a celebrity perfume it's quite nice. I find it to be a versatile fragrance that is suitable for any time of the year. During my first Freedom Makeup haul, (sister brand to Makeup Revolution) the Pro Melts really appealed to me. I just love trying new lip products. Taken from Freedom Makeup- " Get the High Definition Intense finish with this melted lipstick formula lip gloss." I've had an obsession with matte lipsticks lately, so it was nice to try something different, with more of a gloss formula. I settled on 4 Pro Melts. Typical liquid lip gloss tube packaging. These have a standard doe foot applicator. The formula is quite thick, but so smooth and easy to apply. I was concerned that they would be tacky on the lips, however, they feel more like a balm when pressing the lips together. I can definitely feel them on my lips, though the formula isn't too heavy. I'd heard so many good things about the NYX version of a bb cream, it was inevitable that I would try it eventually. It felt so good to buy this one when I was actually in need of it, instead of stockpiling too many makeup products. Taken from the NYX website - " Perfection in a tube. This light weight miracle worker was developed to hydrate and prime for a complexion that looks perfectly beautiful. The result is skin that appears smoother and more radiant. The luxurious oil-free and mineral enriched formula brightens, smooths, moisturizes and provides coverage ." This BB Cream comes in a 30ml squeeze tube. The perfect sized nozzle to dispense this product. The BB Cream is on the lighter side, consistency wise, compared to a lot of the thicker versions that I have tried. As you know, I am a nail polish junkie. I enjoy most colours and there are some that just catch me by surprise when I apply them to my nails. This is how I felt when I decided to try on LA Colors "Flamenco". I adore pinks, corals and reds, so I knew I was going to like the shimmery orange-y red shade. Oh my, when this colour was on my nails, I couldn't help but stare at them, especially outdoors where it sparkled in its sizzling glory. Without further ado, here she is! "Flamenco" is stunning. After 2 coats it is barely opaque, which normally I don't like, but for this colour I can forgive :)

 Ok, so it's not a secret that eye shadow palettes are my vice. But, an eye shadow palette with cute packaging, that is something that I find hard to resist.  That was the case for "Dark Rose". The packaging was love at first sight, I needed it! Keep reading, and you'll see why.  See what I mean?? It would be a sin not to own it! Thankfully, I am just as enamoured with the eye shadow selection AND the 3 blushes. The swatches were applied with my finger on bare skin. Look 1 Look 2 Look 3 As with other BH Cosmetics eye shadows I have used in the past, "Dark Rose" impressed me with the gorgeous shades that were blendable and pigmented. I didn't have a problem whether I wanted to apply to my lid or blend in my crease. The shades didn't turn muddy and lasted all day.
