A Spotlight on J'Adore Les Levres Liquid Lipsticks

I can't resist a good sale, and when Sweet Pea & Faye announced their sale, it was the perfect opportunity to try the lip products that I had wanted to get my hands on for some time. A just had to grab some more eye shadows also!

 RIF RAF: Purple hued cocoa brown.



COPPER BIRD: Metallic copper shimmer.



LICKITY SPLIT: Golden olive shimmer.



In my attempt to cut down on eye shadow spendings, I only chose 3 eye shadows. These are gorgeous to use. Easy to blend, great pigment and adhere well.

APOCALYPSE: Deep pink




I thought that these liquid lipsticks were dupes of OCC lip tars, not so. Lip Tars are not as thick and seem to have more of a glossy sheen.






The top pic is OCC Lip Tar.

  Having a lighter consistency may seem like a positive, but I find that Lip Tars can be difficult to work with. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the J'Adore Les Levres. They are an opaque,  thick creme formula that are a dream to work with.








On my lid I applied the gorgeous Lickity Split. Copper Bird is on my browbone, with Rif Raf in the crease and on lower lashline. My lips have a combination of both lip colours.

 I had a lot of fun with this look. I rarely put bright colours on my lips, I actually really like how well the colours mixed, worked.
Needless to say, I need more of these liquid lipsticks! :)

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over!
