To Repurchase Or Not To Repurchase- Elucent Eye Cream.

I was lucky enough to trial the Elucent range, thanks to Vibe Village. I was happy to see that the Elucent range comes under the "umbrella" of well known and trusted Australian company Ego, so immediately I was expecting a lot from this range.  Elucent Eye Cream contains potent vitamins B3, C and E, these are known for their anti aging qualities. Also within this eye cream is the active component of AHAs, which have been proven to be effective at chemical exfoliation. As we age our skin is not capable of ridding the amount of dead skin cells as possible when young, thus contributing to wrinkles and uneven skintone. The eye area is too sensitive for manual  exfoliators, so having this AHA option is perfect. There is a  concentration of 4% AHA, and there maybe some tingling upon application. I never experienced any reactions. The eye cream comes in a small 15g tube. The product is dispensed through a small nozzle. This makes it easy to measure the tiny amount that is neces

Darling Girl Cosmetics

As promised, I am reviewing the remaining products of my last order of Darling Girl Cosmetics products. RED TAIL : Burgundy cocoa shimmer. SABOTAGE (not currently listed): Pink with gold shimmer. This was a GWP. HUGS & KISSES : Light brown with purple/blue interference. PENNY LANE: (not listed) Caramel shimmer. ALOHA soft focus blush: Earthy pink. FANTASIA duo chrome blush: Coral. CHERRY BOMB soft focus blush: Cherry pink. Not as scary on the skin, as in the jar :) PYRAMID of SKULLS water paint pot: Deep burgundy. Cream formula multi purpose colour. Can be used on lids as a one wash colour, base or eye liner. This was the main reason for my intitial purchase. I had to try a WPP. Did I love it?? Well, to be honest, I did find it hard to get an even coverage. I applied it for the purpose of this blog post and I did find that it creased on my oily lids. I really need to try one of these over primer, and see if that helps.

I have previously stated how much I adore Darling Girl Cosmetics . I think it's great that she is constantly working on new products. I just had to try her Watercolor paint pots (although these have been around for a while). A few items later, and I ended up with a nice little order ;) I'll endeavour to make this a 2 part series. PHANTOM OF THE TAUPERA : Silvery taupe shimmer. This was a GWP. PETUNA: (not currently listed) Matte dusty pink. BARBARELLA : Light copper shimmer. ROSE QUEEN duochrome blush :  Rose pink. CHEEKY soft focus blush : Pinky coral. WHIMSY : Dove grey. ENCHANTED : Baby pink with lilac shift. SWEET LOVE Kiss You Off lip balm : Bright pinky red. Comes in a wind up lip balm tube. The formula is moisturising and is quite pigmented. PINK SLIP Satin Stain :  Muted pink. These lip products have a creme finish. Unlike many lip stains the Satin Stains do not feel drying on the lips. Once worn off,

Make Up Geek Cosmetics

I love Marlena's (of blog, Simply Marlena) tutorials. Informative, fun to watch and easy to follow. She is also CEO of  Makeup Geek an awesome website that is not only a store, but is described as a cosmetic education website. There are tutorials, reviews, a forum and much more, including selected NYX, MAC, Ben Nye and Sugarpill products. What I really wanted to try was Makeup Geek's own line of cosmetics. On offer from this line include eyeshadows, gel liners, lipsticks and brushes. I decided on just a few eyeshadow pans for starters.  PREPPY : *Neutral matte. CUPCAKE : *Matte medium pink. CINDERELLA : *Shimmery nude pink. TAUPE NOTCH : *Taupe shimmer. COUNTRY GIRL : *Pinky brown shimmer. COCOA BEAR : *Reddish brown. I went for quite a simple look, as this was the reason for the colour selection that I had chosen,  colours that can be worn everyday. I used Cupcake on my lid, Preppy is under my brow and I applied Cocoa B
