December 2017 Empties

As we are saying hello to 2018, I will go back in time and show you my December 2017 beauty finished products.

I thought I may have had a few more items to show you, but December wasn't huge when it came to finishing products. I am now close to finishing a few products, so I'm sure January will prove to be one that I have more empties to show. Anyway, let's get to the items I did finish.

I really did plan on treating my face with sheet masks this past month, but for some reason I just kept forgetting. Anyway, I did use the Skin Republic Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen and Detox Charcoal sheet masks.
Repurchase? I did like them, but so far my favourite from the Skin Republic line is the Bubble Mask. Not just because it's fun, but I was impressed with the results. These ones, however, didn't wow me enough to buy again.

Skinn DermAppeal- I finished yet another of these exfoliators. They are fairly coarse so are almost like a microdermabrasion you can do at home.
Repurchase? Yes! I love how soft and smooth my skin feels after using this. I have been through a few of them now and I must order another stat!

The Ordinary "Buffet" serum- This is a budget friendly peptide packed serum. Absorbs very quickly and so far has played nicely with other products.
Repurchase? This product made my 2017 beauty favourites, so yes! Well, I do have a back-up and one its way, but I imagine that I will continue to buy this serum.

Lanolips 101 Ointment- I used this thick ointment as my night-time lip balm.
Repurchase? This product was lovely and hydrating on the lips, I'm not sure that I'd repurchase, only because I have so many lip balm products at the moment and I've started using one that I like better. Stay tuned for my review!

Maybelline FitMe Concealer- I only discovered the concealer this year. It is creamy, and blends nicely under my eyes. I do need to set it with powder, but I find that the case with creamy concealers.
Repurchase? Not for a while because I have 3 back-ups and a couple of other concealers that I want to try, but I'm sure I'll come back to this beauty!

Now from my Project Pan I finished the Swisse Natural Defence BB Cream, Smashbox Lip Liner and NYX Lip Gloss.
Repurchase? I prefer the Garnier Combo/Oily BB Cream to this one, so I probably won't buy again. As for the lip products, no to both, I have plenty of other liners and glosses to get through before considering buying any more.

I am decluttering the LA Girl Pro Concealers. I had heard such good things about them, but it just didn't work for me (plus one is too dark). I found them hard to blend and were patchy under my eyes. I am sad to have to say goodbye to the Models Prefer Brush, not sure on the name of it, but I loved using it to blend my concealer. Unfortunately the brush, which I've had for years, is starting to shed hairs pretty badly.

Thanks for reading xx

  1. Great selection of empties. The Maybelline Fit Me doesn't have a shade pale enough for me. The one I tried was too yellow. I really wan to try The Ordinary's serum.

  2. I really want to pick up the Bufffet serum! I've also heard good things about the LA Girl concealers, but now I'm glad I didn't buy them without testing them first! :)

    1. I couldn't wait to try the LA Girl Concealer. Thankfully at the low price point I didn't lose too much by buying them xx
