IndieAna- In Search of the HolyGrail

 Hyaron has become one of my favourite DIY beauty products. It is a fuss free serum to inject and makes my skin so soft, plump and hydrated thanks to the hyaluronic acid. I decided to also treat my skin with Miracle Touch BR, mostly targeting my undereye dark circles. I have a weekly DIY schedule, which gives my skin healing time between treatments, however, with the amount of products in my rotation and those I still want to use, I have to combine some procedures. Miracle Touch BR contains many brightening ingedients, but nothing that I have to worry about interacting with hyaluronic acid. Just out of caution, I did make sure not to inject in the same areas. The only problem I had with this procedure was deciding where to inject the left over Miracle Touch BR after treating under my eyes.  After this procedure, I now only have one more round to finish off my Miracle L treatment. Time flies when poking the skin apparently. Once again I used the Iniblanc 10 point mapping created for PCL based injectables. Although more product is needed in each injection point, I much prefer less injections. It's not a pleasant product to inject, being quite pinchy sometimes, especially the lips my least favourite place to treat. I think I might start using numbing cream in that area, it certainly can make the eyes tear up. After using the Iniblanc technique, I still had 0.5 ml, so somewhere in my mapping I have injected less than the required 0.2. Not too big of a deal because it's not an exact science and just getting it into my skin means I will still reap benefits. Also, this meant that my lips had some extra treating. I poked them 5 times this treatment. I can't believe that it 4 weeks time my initial Miracle L journey will be complete. *Please note that I am not a doctor...

 After successfully using the HA PDO mono threads, next thread on my list was the screw version of the 30 gauge x 25 mm. Because the thread is wrapped around the needle, it means there is more thread for the body to break down which has the positive effect of collagen building, plus with the added benefit of being dipped in hyaluronic acid means slightly more volume.  I considered repeating the areas I threaded with the monos, being eyes and lips, but opted to put the full pack of 20 under my eyes. The hollows are pretty deep which means they are going to need a lot of work to build enough volume to make a noticeable difference. Aside from filler, (being a newbie I have no plans to use) one of the best ways to do this is with threads, although I'm aware that it's going to be a looong road ahead.  So on today's agenda was to target my under eye area, specifically my dark circles and iron out those wrinkles. I began with the quickest most straight forward procedure being injecting Miracle Touch BR into my dark circles. Unlike last time where I jabbed small amounts along the under eye area, this time I opted just one 1ml injection under each eye. So easy, but not going to lie, disconcerting watching the product pool in one area, almost looking like a balloon when you blow it up, lol. Fortuntely the product did disperse and it's now become my preferred way of getting that lightening product into my skin. I still have to try in other areas of my face, but because I was in need of some botulinum toxin I will have to schedule it in some other time. Which brings me to my next procedure of the day, which was using Toxta to smooth out those lines. It was only my second time, so I am still not confident with mapping, depth and amount per injection.  Wow 6 months of doing my own procedures. Time flies when you're having fun, right? Ok, so I wouldn't necessarily call it fun, but I do enjoy having access to these products that I couldn't justify spending the dollars needed to have done in office. I have so much to learn but from my limited experience these are some things that I have discovered. *Most importantly, get to know your facial anatomy. Facial muscles when it come to toxin is important so you can be better informed on the best places to inject. Of course everyone is different so you have to learn your own anatomy which can only be accomplished over time and practice. The worst that can happen when doing more common areas is a dropped brow or a crooked smile. Not ideal but thankfully not permanent. Obviously bruising can (and will occur) which brings me to my next lesson learnt. *Expect bruising. You can do things to minimise the occurance of a bruise, however they are unavoidable.  Well another month had past since my last round of Miracle L so it was time to get it into my skin again. What is inconvenient is that it falls on the same day of the month that I schedule microneedling. I did consider changing my routine, but figured I only have a couple more Miracle L procedures left so I might as well just continue with this schedule. Using Iniblanc mapping makes for a quicker procedure, I didn't bother marking the points on my face. Drawing up the product into a syringe is actually the step of the procedure that I dislike. It is quite a thick consistency and takes me so long and I seem to lose product during the process which annoys me because I don't want to waste a drop of this stuff! After the bruise I got with my last round of Miracle L, which I still have, I opted not to inject any under my eyes. Any extra I have, I save for my lip area. It's does not feel nice at all but if I can reverse aging in that area it will be worth it.  So far I haven...

 In keeping up with my current run of using threads every 2 weeks, next on my agenda was my neck area because I was yet to put threads there. My plan being to begin horizontal, then vertical to create the hash pattern which results in optimal collagen building for structure in that area. Inserting the threads became more about feel because the position made it more difficult to see in the mirror. I have a mirror that is magnified on one side which is handy with my poor eyesight but the angle I was looking into made it even harder because I have multifocal glasses and looking through the bottom part of my lenses made for blurry vision. Eventually I worked out that not wearing my glasses was actually better. Doing this while trying to capture it on camera made it even more difficult. I used 29 gauge by 25 mm mono PDO threads.
