NOTD

Endevouring to play with my Sally Hansen Matte Top Coat again, I went with an idea that I had found on Pinterest (boy, can I get lost in the world of Pinterest!)
I started with a dark base coat, using Avon Nailwear Pro "Night Violet". I then added Max Factor "Fire Within" (LOVE this!) Then I applied Sally Hansen Matte Top coat only onto diagonal sections of my nails. I finished with dots of Seche Vite, using a toothpick.



I really like these 2 finishes together. The shimmer of the Max Factor "Fire Within" is interesting when muted with Matte top coat, I prefer it glossy, but like the contrast of the matte and gloss.

BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over!
