Garnier Miracle Skin Cream
I was gifted a sample of Garnier Miracle Skin Cream by website Beauty Heaven. It's not a cream I would have bought myself to use, but I was more than happy to try it.
Taken from the Garnier website- "...Instantly its self-adjusting formula is enriched with micro-pigments that provide natural coverage by adjusting to match your skin tone. Skin is immediately flawless, radiant and appears visibly younger. Enriched with 7 anti-ageing actives (LHA, pro-retinol, Vitamin C, Vitamin B3, firming peptides and ginger) + Spf15 protection, fights against the signs of ageing for lasting results. In 28 days, wrinkles and imperfections are reduced, complexion is more even and skin is firmer".

The 5ml tube is good for a few uses.
The consistency is rather light.
The cream has a bright floral scent. Being an avid user of more natural scented products, it's always a surprise when I use a heavily fragranced product such as this one. It's not offensive in any way, I'm just not used to it.
I found the product blended easily over the skin. It absorbed so quickly, leaving my face velvety smooth. There was no tacky residue, but I was not left feeling dry and parched, either.
I can't say that I really noticed much of a difference with the self-adjusting pigment formula on my skin. A similar idea to the L'Oreal Magique BB cream, it changes as you apply, but I find the L'Oreal cream to have more coverage. My skin tone remained the same.
I have not been using the cream long enough to notice any long term effects, so can't really comment on those.
What I can rave about Garnier Miracle Skin Cream is how lovely this is under makeup. As a primer, this could be a winning product for me. Just like a primer, it is hydrating, yet not too rich as to be even tacky on the skin. My makeup just glides over the smooth surface that has been created.
Is there any products that you purchase to use for something that it is not marketed for?
Hello! I find a lot of L'Oreal products are too scented for my liking, it really puts me off! Did you find the scent lingered after you applied foundation over the top? ☺
ReplyDeleteHi there, gorgeous Christina! The fragrance wasn't noticeable as soon as it absorbed into my skin, which is good. It's not terrible by any means, I just don't really like synthetic fragrances in my skincare.
DeleteI haven't used it yet, though this makes me want to!
ReplyDeleteHi Leah! I am going to most likely purchase when I am in need of a primer. As a moisturiser I wasn't fussed by it. Though, I'm actually looking for a miracle cream, looking at your lovely skin, I don't think you need one xx
DeleteGreat review lovely! I have been using this sample too and I agree that I don't really notice a difference when applied alone, but underneath makeup it works great!
ReplyDeleteHello gorgeous Monique! I so want to get a full size as a primer, lol xx
