MBA Cosmetics "Molten Metals"

A stocktake of my makeup revealed that I certainly did not need to add any more mineral eye shadows. But, after seeing the "Molten Metals" on offer at MBA Cosmetics shadow collection, I had to have them!

Set of 6 metallic eye shadows


Golden shimmer


Metallic bronze brown


Deep golden hue





Golden olive green


Metallic copper red


Rich wine shade



These eye shadows really come to life over a sticky base, as you can see in the swatches. The metallic finish is just beautiful and vibrant. I adore these pigmented shadows, they have a lovely formula and are easy to work with. I just make sure to pat onto my lids with a brush, rather than swipe.

I am so glad that I followed my heart rather than my brain when it came to purchasing these eye shadows. Sure I didn't need them, but I am oh-so-in-love!

    I love a rich pigmented metallic shadow, not that I get much opportunity to wear them! These colours look amazing.

      metallic eye shadows are definitely my favourite finish, closely followed by duo chromes :)

    I find metallic eyeshadows so exciting, especially golden and bronze shades. These are so shiny and pigmented! Loving these, they are so pretty!

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over!
