Shop My Stash Palette Edition- Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Chocolate Mint Palette

I knew it would shock you to write about yet another Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup eye shadow palette! :P Believe it or not, though, I had considered not buying this palette. I actually didn't love the green over chocolate packaging, I know, packaging isn't that important, right? But still! I love the metallic colours, but the mint green just looked tacky and like kids makeup to me. I will say though, that it's not so bad in person.



This palette has ABH Subculture vibes and we all know the bad press that palette got, I think that was another aspect of the palette that I was apprehensive about. I couldn't wait to swatch it to see what the shadows and shades were like.





The shadows swatched well. It didn't really scream mint chocolate to me, but I was interested in some of the potential colour combinations I could use. I was especially wanting to use the 3rd and 4th shades in the 2nd row. Anyway, here's the looks I did come up with.

I actually really enjoyed using this palette. I was tempted to continue using it for longer, but I would like to get use out of quite a few different eye shadow palettes this year. The mattes blended nicely and the shimmers were quite pigmented. Well, the yellow shimmer shade not so much, but the soft yellow look I created with this shadow was probably my favourite of the looks.

BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it.
