Small MUA Haul

Hmmmm, how can I explain this MUA haul...I'd like to make it clear that it was a very SMALL haul, purchased during a free worldwide shipping offer. Included are some products from the luxe collection that I'd been lusting after for a while. Actually I wanted these at the time that I was buying birthday/christmas gifts for myself, sooo maybe a late gift for myself??? ;)
I have been wanting to add some more matte lipsticks to my collection, so my purchase included Velvet Lip Lacquers and Matte Lipsticks. The glitter palettes intrigued me, so a couple of those finished my order.

Please excuse the melting face, it was just so hot! I absolutely love the matte lipstick formula. Although it has a matte finish, it is one of the most moisturising formulas that I have used on my lips. It is so smooth, and doesn't leave my dry lips looking patchy. Although, it lasts well, obviously during the day the lipstick fades. I just applied lip balm over the top, and it gave me an even subtle colour. I was pleasantly surprised!



The glitter cream is great for a fun look. I'd only go as far as wearing it as a liner, it was hard enough to get rid of the glitter, I can only imagine how hard it would be to remove 2 lids worth, lol. I love the look of the initial application, but thanks to my hooded lids, I did experience transfer to my upper eye area. I would take a guess that these would be likely to crease. They're oh-so-pretty, tho. That's important too, right? :)


Oh dear, I really need to stop taking photos on so-hot-face-is-melting days, lol! Anyway, here I am wearing Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer. This colour is so far out of my comfort zone, but you know what? I actually like it! I love the finish of these lacquers. They aren't as moisturising as the lipsticks, however they aren't too terribly drying. My lips did appear to be patchy after a few hours wear, however, some lip balm evened my lip colour, whilst giving moisture to my parched lips. They are always so dry!

 I am over-the-moon with the lip products, love, love, love! The glitter palettes are fun, but not a necessary addition to my makeup collection. Thankfully, MUA are so reasonable with their pricing.

    Ooh those lip lacquers look gorgeous! I also love the look of the matte lipsticks! Thank you for this post, I recently received an MUA eye shadow palette and it's amazing considering the price, so I'll definitely look into their other products now!

      MUA is quite good for a budget brand. They can be hit-and-miss, but I've liked almost everything that I have tried. Oh, thanks for the compliment, hun xx

    Those quad palettes look fantastic. I love the twilight colours and the glitter.
    The matte lippies look amazing too. I love those colours. I need some more mattes too :)

      I'm so glad that I got these. Free shipping is something that I find hard not to take advantage of. It helps that MUA's prices are so low, too :)

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it.
