Come Play With Me- Winter Into Spring
The talented and creative Kat chose such a fitting theme for Come Play With Me, Winter Into Spring. With only days away from being my favourite season, it's the only time of year that I want the time to fly! I am more than happy to say good bye to Winter, and welcome Spring with open arms.
I had so many ideas for this theme, beautiful bright colour along with icy white and blue filled my mind, I just couldn't wait to dip my brush into colour.
I finally decided on white, thawing into blue, then flourishing into green. It seemed like the perfect way for me to interpret Winter turning into Spring. Apart from some mineral makeup pigments (no longer available, unfortunately) I also used an olive green from the 88 Warm palette for my brows. The white base for my liner was achieved using Face of Australia "White Gold" pencil liner. I also used L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara, which I forgot to photograph, oops.
I did plan more than just an eye look, but one of my eyes began watering like crazy, preventing me to work on it any further, or the rest of my face for that matter :(
How would you interpret a "Winter Into Spring" look? If you take part in this challenge, please do post your link in the comments, I'd love to see it! :)
Hailey gives us a breathtaking cherryblossom eye look.
Check out the Spring colour that Monique showcases beautifully.

Indie hon your interpretation is amazing, as is your creativity - nothing short of a work of art! I'm loving all the colours you've chosen, and that white eyeliner is stroke of genius :-) I'm just SO thrilled you started this series. It gives me so much pleasure to see everyone's ideas hon - let's keep this going forever hey? xxx
ReplyDeleteI agree, Kat, I love seeing other's various artistic takes on the different themes, and to be able to interact in this way is so much fun. It is actually an honour to be in such good company and talent, enjoying the love of makeup. Thank you for taking the time to join each time, especially with your crazy schedule xx
DeleteAmazing Indie! Especially love the white liner!! x
ReplyDeleteThank you, beautiful. I wasn't brave enough to leave it stark and go without mascara. No mascara, eek, lol xx
DeleteBeautiful Indie. When I first saw this eye look I was reminded of the witch from the story The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. She was an ice maiden so I think that's why I get reminded of her with your stunning icy eye :D The burst of yellow that you've added is the perfect Spring touch. Just like a blossoming flower :D
ReplyDeleteThank you, gorgeous! It certainly was a lot of fun to apply, but confined to the house. Tho, it could have made for an interesting shopping trip, lol xx
DeleteSuch a good idea to use the white base. It has me eyeing off my new NYX milky white pencil.
ReplyDeleteAmazingly creative. I think some of the shades or the concept could be adapted into something that could leave the house but I liked the high fashion look.
Thank you, hun. I went a little crazy with this look, but that was the fun of it xx
