Revlon Whipped Colorstay Foundation

Being a member of website, Beauty Heaven, means I have had many perks, including a whopping prize pack containing a crazy amount of beauty products. Oh, it was heaven alright! The point I'm getting to is that I received Revlon Whipped Colorstay foundation among the many goodies.

I remember the original Colorstay foundation from too many years ago. It was popular. I didn't like it. So, if it hadn't been for the lucky win, I would never have even tried this  version of the foundation.

Taken from the Revlon website- "...offers ultimate performance. The mousse like texture feels like silk on your skin, and the time release formula balances your skin for a flawless look. All day flexible wear, without flaking, caking or feeling heavy."

The foundation comes in a sturdy glass jar.

Included is a plastic protector cap, I love that there is a tab that you can grab making it easier to remove.

The consistency is like creamy chocolate mousse,

As you can see, this foundation gives full coverage, the sore almost disappearing under.

I use a flat topped kabuki brush to apply this foundation, and find that it blends smoothly and easily across my skin and means no streaking.

Being a Colorstay formula, I was concerned that my face would look flat, something I don't like about matte foundations. Although I have combination skin, and can get oily, I much prefer a dewy finish.

I soon discovered that this Revlon foundation gave me a smooth velvety finish. My skin still looked and felt like skin. Not flat, and no cakey drying feeling either.

My flaws are concealed, with only extra help needed under my eye area to mask my terribly dark circles.

As the Colorstay name suggests, I get hours of wear, only coming off when I remove it. No slipping and sliding, even on a hot day. I do continue to use a finishing powder, as I do with all liquid foundations.

Apart from eyes and lips, I don't have any other face makeup products on.

Not only did I receive the perfect shade, so far, I really like using Revlon Whipped Colorstay Foundation.

What foundation are you currently using?

  2. The Whipped foundation looks great on you. I've been wanting to try this since the only foundation I currently use is the Revlon Colorstay Makeup in Combination/Oily which I love. I reckon the whipped texture would be airier and more fun to use. Haha. Yay for BeautyHeaven!
