Introduction:

I've been meaning to start a blog for a while now, it just seemed to be on my ever growing "to-do" list. I thought that there were so many blogs out there, who needs yet another one? But, I decided that this would be a great way to inventory my many beauty related products, including my thoughts on brands and their goodies..I wouldn't want to forget about a product that I love, and need to repurchase :)

My obsession is online shopping, most of which are from indie companies. They are often unique and WAY cheaper. I love the excitement of waiting for something, hopefully worthwhile, in the mail. I do like actual shopping, but really enjoy the bargain buys available online..besides, there's nothing better than shopping in pjs and having the convenience of doing it anytime you like :) I guess learning restraint will be my next goal...one day.

Now I have to decide what my first review will be, until then, I'll be searching some online stores..all in the name of research, of course ;) Bye for now..

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over! Taken from BH Cosmetics - "This palette features 11 original shades plus 10 chic new shadows and highlighters in buttery blendable formulas with staying power."
