Steps NOTD
As you probably have noticed, I like a simple NOTD. I like to be creative, but I am just not so good at intricate type nail art, unfortunately.
As I often do, I come across a cute design on Youtube. It included the word easy, so I was more than willing to give it a go.
After prepping my nails with Orly Bonder base coat, for this look, I was required to choose 4 colours, a base colour, then 3 other colours for the "step" design. I went with pinks and a gorgeous deep burgundy colour. Going from the lightest colour to darkest, I began with a pale pink base colour. Then to create the step design, I simply applied 3 strokes of polish, starting from the inside of the nail, making each stroke slightly shorter than the previous one. With the following 2 colours, I just repeated, but made each stroke to be shorter than each applied shade (I really hope that this is making sense, lol) Before the final step, I applied Essie Luxeffects to my entire nail, just for a touch of bling :)
I hope I haven't bored you with all my pics, but I was just so happy with result. So easy, and the colour combos that could be used are endless!

I like your design :) I am completely hopeless when it comes to nail art!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lily. It's taken me a lot of practice, and I still have nail looks that don't end up seeing the light of day, lol
Deletewow, I could never do that. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Melanie! I'm sure you could, I only try the easy nail looks :)
DeleteThis is so cute, and you did a fab job! I bet I'd make a huge mess of this haha! The colours are perfect, too! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jasmine. Nail art really does get easier, I've had a LOT of practice, and still can only manage the easier designs, anything intricate is beyond me, lol
DeleteNow that I could understand Indie......I've seen others doing this look and always thought "how the hell do you even do it". Reading your tips....truely helped. I am hopeless when it comes to painting my nails but you have made that look so easy. I will give it a try for sure so thank you.
ReplyDeleteThat design really looks beautiful......great job :-)
Thank you so much for your feedback, Mandy, I really appreciate it! I'd love to know how you go :)
DeleteHey doll I so love it when you get up to your "easy peasy" nail art creations - the results are always stunning, and this is especially so. The colors you chose are so complementary, bright, fun, and elegant too. Looking forward to more combos from the rainbow of polishes in your collection xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you lovely. It's so much fun, and then being able to share with like-minded beauties just makes it even more special xx
