YSL Baby Doll

I was lucky enough to receive the YSL Baby Doll perfume, thanks to Kat from Kats Colourings and one of her many fabulous giveaways. I must say that it was not on my radar, but being a lover of perfume, I was quick to spray it on.

 Taken from Fragrantica- "Top notes are fresh and full of zest with the notes of blackcurrant, orange, apple and pineapple. Heart notes include a feminine floral bouquet made of rose, freesia, lily of the valley and heliotrope. Base notes are warm and incensy, cedar, sandal, tonka and vanilla."

The bottle is gorgeous. I love that from the rounded glass to the gold lid, it is all faceted like a diamond. The perfume itself is a pale pink shade. Looks very special.

The perfume is a fruity floral that is quite light.. It is very well blended with the zesty fruit and bouquet of fresh flowers, no note trying to outdo another. 

I must say that the first time I tried this perfume, I was not wowed by it, but the more I use the more I like it. The fragrance is pretty and perfect for any occasion and makes for a wonderful Spring/Summer scent.

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. The 12 piece palette comes housed in a modern, embossed tin. featuring a mirror and 2 dual end applicators." The tin packaging of this palette is really cute, it reminds me of the Naked 2 and 3 palettes. It is a little bulky, but I like it. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it. I went as far as pre-ordering the palette before it was even released. The sneak peek swatches had won me over!
