MBA Cosmetics Metallic Matte Liquid Lipstick

I bought two MBA Cosmetics Metallic Matte Liquid Lipsticks during last year's Black Friday sale. I was very restrained as there are quite a few gorgeous lipstick shades to choose from.

 Taken from MBA Cosmetics- "Our Metallic Matte Liquid Lip Color glides on like a liquid and dries down to a long lasting matte finish without dehydrating the lips. Full coverage color for extended wear."



The lipsticks are packaged in square shaped plastic tubes, I love the sleek look. They have a typical doe foot applicator.


The consistency of these lipsticks are more creamy than a liquid that the description describes. I found the shades easy to apply. Plum Berry was not as opaque as Pink Cherry, so I had to apply a second coat. This is not unusual for darker liquid lipsticks.

 These lipsticks felt very comfortable on the lips and are beautifully pigmented. I wish I could stop there because as someone who doesn't like giving a negative review, these are the only pros. Unfortunately, the gorgeous lipsticks quickly deteriorated. Throughout normal wear, not even eating or drinking, the lipsticks ended up being patchy and flaky. And yes, I had prepped my lips with a scrub prior to use. This happened within the first hour or so of wear. I was so disappointed but glad I had only bought 2!

    I stay away from the liquid lipsticks. My crinkly dehydrated lips just don't do well with them nor staining lip products. Bummer these didn't work for you.. Hope you can return them!

      I used to feel that way about liquid lipsticks, but I love the long lasting power they have. I don't wear them on a daily basis, tho xx

    I haven't had much luck with metallic lip products. I think my lips might have too many lines for them.

    The Pink Cherry looks gorgeous so it sucks that it didn't work for you. Hopefully your next lip product will though.

BYS Berries Palette

I have bought from the brand BYS in the past, but I can't say I've actually sought out anything from them. Well, that was until I saw swatches popping up on my Instagram feed of the Berries palette.  It's a 12 pan palette and has a similar vibe going on to the much loved and raved about ABH Modern Renaissance palette. Of course, I do not own the pricier ABH palette, but I just had to have the Berries palette. Taken from BYS - "BYS Berries Eye Shadow Palette features an array of 12 expertly chosen, highly pigmented matte and metallic eye shadows. BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette and Giveaway

When BH Cosmetics released the original Carli Bybel palette I was tossing up whether I was going to purchase it or not. Sure, it was pretty with lovely neutral shades, but I was trying to cut down my eye shadow palette buying to only palettes that I really, really had to have and I wasn't convinced that was the case. When the Carli Bybel Deluxe version was released containing 15 shadows and 6 highlighters as opposed to the original which had 10 eye shadows and 3 highlighters, I had to have it.
